Question........

Okay so we got our convertible seat for the big man. Currently Wes can hook up his infant seat to his car for those trips around town. But normally we take my car everywhere on weekends or after work. So do we need two convertible seats or should we swap it out whenever needed.....would it be a pain? Or should we get another one?

I'm going to be looking into this.....Any suggestions?

Aiden's First Zoo Trip

Report Aiden was extremely good. Slept the entire time except the times to be fed or changed. Such a good little boy! I couldn't ask for a better baby! But of course he's amazing...I mean he is mine after all ;-)

Baby Book

I'm going to start Aiden's baby book/scrapbook tonight, since I didn't get to start last Sunday.

I'm not a fan of normal Baby Books. So not personal. Plus I love scrapbooking!

I have decided every Sunday for an hour I will do work on his book when hes sleeping. That way I will get it done and not take away from family time.

Another Tuesday

So while I'm here stuck at work my guys are off to the zoo. How fair is that :-( Wes said he's going to take pictures so I will update later. Wes' cousins are in town, so their kids plus Regina and Lily all went to the zoo probably to burn out the energy of the kids. lolol Little Aiden was tired before the fun even started! Memphis does have the best zoo I've been to. Good size, plenty of animals, plus PANDAS! Can't wait to take Aiden there when he can actually enjoy it. lol

So on my downtime today I went ahead and ordered Aiden a humidifier and playtime gym mat. He's starting to get a stuffy nose when he sleeps so my doctor said this will help him breathe easier at night. Plus they come in really cute animal shapes. We went the Crane Frog Plus it will be a good night light for him. I've been looking for a night light that was bright enough so I wouldn't have to turn on the lights during those A.M. diaper changes/feedings. Hehe I love the frog, plus it's kind of decoration for his room and we can reuse it for the next little one whenever that is ;-) We were debating between the elephant and frog. Obviously the frog won.

Now since Aiden is a growing boy and getting more adventerous it was time for him to get a Playgym. We decided on the Tiny Love Musical Kick n Discover Playgym for one reason alone...the kick feature. Aiden LOVES to kick. Plus it allows tummy time where he can see himself. I liked the design it was Noah's Ark. How cute is that. Looking forward to many good laughs and smiles coming from his cute little face.

Oh and all these purchases were online. All mommies pay attention. Do not buy things in stores unless you have a gift card. You can find all your baby's needs at a fraction of the price online. You wouldn't believe how much I've saved! Because for example this gym is like $75 dollars at target.....I would NEVER pay that for this....or for any playmat. Babies grow to fast. But I found it $40 cheaper online. MUCH BETTER! Just a tip.

My new car!!!

Ford Fusion SEL in Moonshine Metallic

I didn't think we would actually buy it today, but we saw it and fell in love! I love the color it's silverish with gold flakes in it. Have I mentioned how much I love working at IP???? We got an amazing deal on it with my company perks. Plus we have warranty on it for 100,000 miles! OMG! That in its own right is amazing!!!! No paying for oil changes, brake changes, etc.

It was so nice putting Aiden in the back seat without any struggle like my ole bug caused. I will miss my Yellow bug so much!! It was such a good car for 7 years. I'm going to get lost in parking lots now. lol Where's my car?!

This new car has so many amazing features. Such a fancy car! Only the best for my little man! The best feature of all is the dual temperature control. So my cold ass will always be warm and Wes' hot nature will be cool. AMAZING!!! It has a sunroof, heated seats (which I will love in the winter), keyless entry, rear camera (so I won't hit anything, that pops up when you are in reverse in the mirror), sync (handsfree way to talk on my phone through the car speakers), etc etc etc. Now this road trip to Florida for Lane's wedding will be soooooooo much better and stress free.

Can I say that I am truly blessed?! I think so!!

Side note: Saw little Harlee. She is soooo cute! Looks just like her father. But man it was weird picking her up. She was so little compared to my big man Aiden. lol Love my family. We got her a cute bug carseat toy that plays music when tugged on for a coming home gift. We will stop by sometime next week when Ciarra and Harlee come home so Aiden can meet her :-) Momma seemed like she was doing good too. Yah for that! C Sections Blow!

Good News!

So I'm at lunch with some coworkers and I received the best text from Wes. He got a letter from the Human Resources Department from the Police Department!!!! We have been waiting on this since November I think....been forever. In January we heard they weren't hiring...so this is really good news!

Please keep Wes in your thoughts while he goes through the step processes!!!!

Harlee Brooke Lambert has arrived!!!!!

8 pounds 3 ounces 20 1\2 inches born at 8:10 am

So happy for you Tyler and Ciarra!!! Aiden's cousin/bff is finally here :-) Absolutely the cutest thing ever. All that hair! Tiny little thing compared to our little man. lol Going to be fun see our two babes grow up together.

Speaking of Aiden next friday is his 2 month doc appt. AH I can't believe it's been two months. So of course we will have to take pictures and give updates on him.....hopefully all the shots he gets wont make him awful the rest of the day. But at least mommy will be there. I made his appt at 2, so I could go to work in the morning and leave in the afternoon.

Amazing how fast the grow up. Literally, I think Aiden's grown in length. hehe He doesn't seem to have as BIG of baby fat rolls anymore. :-)

Sidenote: Work has been extremely hectic with LONG hours. In the addition of a HUGE 2x6 foot sinkhole on my way home made the drives home LONG too. I'm exhausted! But tomorrow I hope to go see Harlee and test drive the Ford Fusion! Momma getting a bigger car for Aiden.

I thought I was going to have to wait 2 weeks before Aiden's new car seat was shipped. However, I got a notification today it was shipped! It should be here by this weekend!

Lane's getting married!

I can't believe it's almost here! Lane is getting married!!!! One month from today!!! FINALLY! Ashley is finally going to be a McDanal. YAH!

I'm so happy I took extra vacation time so we can enjoy being at the beach. YAH! Aiden's first of MANY beach trips!!!! Don't worry he's gonna be rocking out in a lb of sunscreen and I already have him a hat and sunglasses. Going to wait till the time is closer to get his swimming trunks. The boy grows too fast. lol Can't wait to take pictures of him. It's going to be hilarious!

It kinda hit home that it's approaching bc I got my bridesmaid dress in the mail. Lucky me NO alterations. I did some good guessing in December. lol The pic is the exact dress I'm wearing.

Counting down the days! Plus Uncle Lane and Aunt Ashley FINALLY get to meet Aiden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would be funny if he hit them like "Where have you been?!" like he does when he wants to be fed saying "Where's your boob?" hahahahahaha and yes Wes taught him that. ;-)

So I really love the Etsy Website. Promotes small businesses, which I love!


Before I posted about how my amazing mother-in-law bought me an adorable baby wipe case and burp cloth in an Alexander Henry 2D Zoo Print. My favorite print!! I can't wait for her to make Aiden's quilt. Well I found other vendor who makes these cute bags called Ouch Pouch. They are for parents to have together all the needs to heal or protect boo boos. And I got it in the same pattern that I love!!! I recommend all mothers to check her out.


After trying out my other burp cloths, the only one I loved is the one Gabby got me. And it too is off Etsy! The reason why, is bc the seller uses 100% cotton absorbent prefold newborn diapers. So soft and thick at the same time, plus the dye job and prints are adorable. Check out Laundry Monster.
Me being the IT dork that I am bought two that are really for me and Wes, since we are both computer geeks. :-) A keyboard and circuit board. lol Then as I was checking out I saw she made one in the Michael Miller pattern I love! GROOVY GUITARS! I'm a sucker for light blue. Aiden is one cool and pimped out kid.

The last vendor I'm going to promote makes baby wipe cases. She makes cases in the Vera Bradley prints! AHH. I can have one that matches my baby bag. Awesome! So of course I got it in my Java Blue print. I also asked her if she had the new Sittin in the Tree print, which shes going to order for me. That is the print Ciarra got, so I'd love to get her a matching one too. Sweetness! :-)

Okay that is enough of me promoting Etsy! lolol Now it's time to look up weights, me and Wes are going to start P90X soon so I can get off my extra baby weight. YAH!!!

Return to the workforce

Returning to a BUNCH of work.....a lot of stuff went wrong when I was gone. It's like there was a disconnect with the IT and Business when I left. Needless there will be long nights and weekend work to be done. UGH! Not a good welcome back.

However, it was good see all my coworkers! Such amazing people!! Did I mention I love working at IP?!?! On my day back I found I got a salary pay raise! YEAH!!! Takes affect in April. :-) That is really good news lets me know I'm doing a good job, and with so many layoffs around me it lets me know my job is stable. Which is a BIG sigh of relief since we are a one income family right now.

So as I was off at work Wes had Aiden all by himself. hehe Friday and Monday were stressful for him, but it was an adjustment for Aiden too so I felt bad. Aiden just missed his mommy. However, Wes is doing great with him! Monday I got the funniest text pictures from Wes.....before and after shots. lolol I LOOOOOOOVE that little face!!!!!! Could eat him up! :-) hehe wearing his "Daddy & me" onesie since it was just him and daddy. So cute!

Oh another reason why I love IP. They have the best stuff for mommies. Totally promote women to come back to work after having kids. We have a room designed just for breastfeeding, which allows me a private place to pump. BTW I love my Medela pump! Takes me like 10 minutes and I'm done. And doing it every 2-3 hours lets me get enough milk to last Aiden the next day. Also ontop of this room there are "nap rooms" that I can go in if I don't get alot of sleep the night before bc of a screaming baby. And yes we have nap rooms! lolol Being in IT sometimes we have late nights or early mornings, so to help us function they provide areas for us to recoup.

I love you International Paper! Thank you to everyone who drinks Starbucks, eats fast food, diaper babies, buys HP/Staples/etc Paper, girls who buy magazines with perfume samples in it, shops at Walmart (we make alot of the bags food/pet food are in), etc). We do ALOT and if you buy any of that.....thanks for paying for my paycheck. hahaha :-)

Bigger Car Seat

Today I ordered Aiden's big boy car seat, bc he will be outgrowing his infant soon. After alot of research I narrowed it down to the Britax Boulevard. It is a bit pricey, but can you really put a price on something Aiden will use for a few years and keep our little guy safe. I think not! Plus, it had great reviews from customers and safety reviews. Then I got Wes involved to pick out the color.
That is a big decision in its own right. lol We picked the Onyx pattern. Can't wait for it to get here!!!

Yesterday was Ciarra's baby shower. It was a lot of fun. Gabby did a great job on decorations and food!! She got amazing things for my little niece. :-) I can't wait for Harlee to get here and so both our little munchkins to grow up together. Playmates! Friday is the big day, we will go visit her at the hospital friday or saturday.

After the shower, me and Aiden went to go see daddy play softball. I also got to try out his new stroller. LOVE! So glad warm weather is here so I can take many walks with him while daddy is playing his games. :-)

Returning to work...

So tomorrow is the big day! :-( I have to go back to work. I'm gonna miss the little guy so much!!! Even though he drives me crazy at times, still gonna miss spending all day with him like I have now. I hope I don't miss all those special moments. At least his daddy will be watching over him and not some stranger. So I'm at ease there.

Both grandparents got my gifts and loved them! Yeah!I gave them framed pictures from the hospital of Aiden and of our little family. I also have the family picture hanging on our picture wall.

I really need to upload pictures of the house. Slacking big time on that.

This Saturday is Ciarra's baby shower. Looking forward to that! Aiden has a cute spring outfit to wear. Plus, I love what we got her and Harlee! I even got Lily a gift. :-) Big Sis needs something too! After it me and Aiden are going up to the softball field to watch Wes play. Hopefully it will be warm!!! And I'll get to try out his new stroller. The only one that will fit in my bug! I love the other one, but until we decide on a new car for me, I've got to use this one. It's a Combi Flash EX, and its folded length is 31 inches! WHOA thats small! Even has a shoulder strap.

Yesterday, we went by the bank and set up the little man a savings account. Going to put $20 in it each month along with his Gabby. He will appreciate it later when he starts putting his own money in it. :-) Taking care of him.

Today, I've been soaking up as much Aiden time as I can. Once the sun goes down a little bit we are going on a nice stroll through the neighborhood. Even Murph is going to join us. Thank goodness the sun FINALLY came out! He even gets to wear his cute hat I bought him at the consignment shop. Yeah!!

Auntie Visits

Adrienne finally met her baby nephew!! This was her first time being all up close to a baby so little, so she was a little uncomfortable. lol Trust me hes 11 lbs you cant hurt him! But as the day passed she got more comfortable with him. So cute and loving! Oh my mom also came up with her and we had a girls weekend + Aiden, bc Wes went fishing with his dad. It was nice just being us 3. Aiden is so spoiled rotten by all of us. But how cute you not spoil that little face!!!

After our delicious lunch at the Bistro Aiden got really fussy and was tired of being in his carseat. So when we got home I had to put him in his swing after feeding him so we could ohh and ahh over him. lol I love the swing Gabby got Aiden. The colors are awesome, and its got little elephants plus your ipod can connect to it. Gotta start having the little man listen to Pink Floyd, Dave, John Mayer. The good music real real soon!! Hehe we caught him drooling! hahahahaha He was out of it!

Adrienne and Mom were trying to take as many pictures of the little guy while they were here. Because the last time Mom saw him he was just born and didn't have his eyes open alot. So they were trying to catch some to show Dad. Well needless to say it was HILARIOUS. Every picture ended up like this....or like this...
They had their plan, Aiden had his own. lolol but they did get some cute ones by the end of the weekend. However, they did get to experience Budda Aiden. The belly has magical powers. Rub the belly!!! lolol Another one of his crazy sleeping positions. Adrienne kept calling him a little slut bc his shirt was rising up...he just wants all the ladies to see his tummy. He's proud of it!

Fussy Pants

Aiden has been EXTREMELY fussy today! He hasnt napped that much at all...maybe that will mean he will sleep for a long time tonight. I HOPE!!!!! I didn't get anything done really today that I wanted to.

Love the little guy, but mommy needs some sleep. I've got to return to work next friday and have SOOOO MUCH to do that lack of sleep is definitely not needed.

Funny thing from today Murph pulled his bear over by the sliding glass door and laid his head on it so it wouldn't be on the cold tile. Such a funny dog!

Sleeping Machine

Last night Aiden slept from 11pm-5:30am!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP! It was soo nice to sleep like that again. Thank you Aiden, Thank you very VERY much!

So as tribute to my sweet boy, I'd thought I'd share the many funny pictures I've captured with my phone of him sleeping. Some are hilarious. Silly boy!

Another note. Today he had his 2nd Hep B shot. Did soo good until the shot time came. Poor little guy didn't like that AT ALL! I don't blame him. He goes back in like 2 weeks for his 2 month appt visit! OMG time flies by!
I forgot to post this, but at the hospital my mom got this cute little sign for the door. It is currently hanging on his door to his room.
We are going to save it just incase the next little Lambert is a boy. Just like how we are saving his clothes he outgrows. But don't get any ideas the next Lambert isn't coming for a couple years. :-)

We also stopped by Lowes to check out vacuums. We needed something small and could work on hardwoods and area rugs...and we found it! LOVE IT! It's cordless, lightweight, and also can pull a handheld vaccuum for those tight places and furniture. Totally recommend all people check it out. It's an Electrolux Ergorapido. It comes in different colors, but we are going to leave it in the kitchen so green was the best choice. Goes with the walls and doesn't stick out. You know you are getting old when you get excited about cleaning supplies.

1 Month update/ Visits

Aiden FINALLY gets to meet his Auntie Adrienne!!! She's coming up to Memphis this weekend! Don't worry I'll have pictures next post. Now we just have Uncle Lane and then Aiden has met all the family.

I still can't get over he's been here for a month and I've been off work for a month! Crazy!!!! My time off is coming to a close, as much as I love spending 24/7 with Aiden I do miss work. I get soo bored when Aiden is sleeping, which is alot, and running out of things to do. I now spend my days watching Lost on Netflix. :-)

Aiden Update
He's getting so strong, and now when we talk to him he looks at us instead of off into space. He is getting better at not crying when changing his diaper. He used to scream BLOODY MURDER...I think its shock from getting circumsized and the thermometer up the butt. I would scream too if I were him.

1 Month Doc Appt

Today Aiden had his 1 month appointment.
He's up to 11 lbs 11 oz and 23 inches!!
WOW! BIG BOY and growing even more.

Love this little guy sooo much. Going to be hard going back to work in 2 weeks. Gonna miss spending all day with him and my wonderful hubby!

After the doctors appt we stop by Wes' parents house to pick up the new shower curtain Regina got us to complete the Alabama bathroom. It's houndstooth, can't get any better than that. Then she also got Aiden this adorable glass plate, bowl, and cup that is blue and nursery stories on it. I'll have to take a picture of it later, bc my description isn't that good. His cousins Lily and Harlee have a pink and purple one. Those are Wes brother's kids. Harlee is making her debut on March 26th. Lily is 2, can't wait for all 3 of them to play together. Going to be SOOOO cute! Plus the pictures will be adorable too. Good looking family!

Aiden is finally here!!

Sorry for the delay everyone! Just been a little busy here getting the house together, taking care of Aiden, and recovering from surgery. But everyone is doing GREAT! I'm healing good. It still hurts from time to time. However, I wouldn't recommend to anyone to get a c-section takes longer to get back up on your feet. Which for someone like me is BAD...bc I can't stand not being able to do things for myself.

A recap. Aiden was born on February 5, 2010. 9 lbs 10oz 20 3/4 inches long. Big Boy!
Wes took some pics at the hospital, since I was needless to say out of it.
lol But if you cant tell by my face those drugs were amazing! lol Didn't feel anything but the needle going in and then it was over. It was a mixture of happy I think...Aiden getting out of my belly and the painkillers.
Arrived at the hospital at 5:30, went back into surgery at 7:30 and by 8 Aiden was here! :-)
This friday he will be a month old, which is CRAZY to think about. He's doing good and growing strong...before we know it he will be using those soccer legs to crawl. Last doctor visit Aiden was 10 lbs and measuring 21 3/4 inches. Gained all his birth weight back at his 2 week appt and grew. DANG.....no wonder my arms hurt from holding him. lol

I was going to upload the video and pictures from his first bath, but that will have to be for the next post....still trying to figure out this new camcorder. But here are some of the pics we took at the hospital.
