Kicks

I felt the little peanut kick for the 1st time last night. Sometimes it was really intense and sometimes I couldn't tell if it was just gas bubbles because it was so light. All I know was all night I was kind of a little uncomfortable because of all that movement, and then I think they settled on back or a nerve because there was intense pressure in my lower back like someone was sitting on me. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well....But at the same time it was very exciting!

One thing that doesn't mix well with me being pregnant is my skin. I normally don't break out...but now man my chin will never be the same. lol By the time one goes away another pops up. These hormones are kicking my butt! And I put clearasil on it to help...I think I have some type of allergic reaction to it because everytime my entire face turns bright red and my skin is on FIRE! :-(

Yesterday was a big day for Aiden he is now officially in the potty training classroom. They deemed he was ready...guess mommy has to get back on board. Well when we got to school he was heading for his old room and when I directed him into the new room and to his cubby he knew something was not right. He sprawled to the floor and started to whine and cry. When he finally got up to hand me his stuff and all the little kids were surrounding us. (Ohhh someone new!!) Which scared Aiden so he clung to my leg for dear life, crying. I kept telling him you know Annabelle, and look there are the twins, and look there's Jackson, but he still clung on. So we walked to the back where the blocks were, all the kids followed. I started to pull some out to tempt him. Nothing. All the other kids were all for it and started to play. Then a sweet little girl handed him a piece and he actually took it and then he was okay. Such a ladies man! I was then able to leave and was thinking "He will be okay, he's probably already macking on all the girls. Especially when his gf gets there! (She moved up too with him)" The girl ratio is a lot higher than the boy in this class.

That evening both me and Wes went to pick him up and he was as happy as can be playing with all his new "friends". Asked if he had fun and quickly replied "Yeah!!!" And on his daily report the teacher marked that he was a very good helper. That kid loves to help! Today's drop off went perfect. In and out. No tears and knew where and what to do. So thankful.

Forgot to post about this. But last week little man got attacked at preschool by a mosquito. Got bit on his hand and whoa baby talk about swelling. His hand looked like the Hulk was appearing! These pictures are from day 1 but day 2 was even worse! Took like 4 days for it to return to normal. Felt so bad for him because it blistered over and was so itchy for him. Can you see his poor right hand?

Leave on a funny note. The next day we stayed at home so the swelling could go down a little and he spent all morning playing in Daddy's shoes. Quite hilarious!

Short day tomorrow. Off Monday! Going to have a great weekend! BBQ and swimmming on Saturday at the inlaws, Family Zoo trip on Sunday (get to feed the birds now!), and swimming again Monday. Off next Friday! Then we get to see my fam for a whole week and no work for a week! So excited!!!

Big Day

Two posts in one day. On a roll.

Just got back from my 14week appointment. All is good. Baby's heartrate was in the 150s and sleeping/laying all on my right side.

But the best part of the appointment....determined what the gender reveal date is going to be....June 18th!!!! Ekk can't hardly wait!

Guess we will find out which one of these the little peanut will wear....We just got a Carter's outlet store here not to long ago and Friday was my first visit/purchase. I did great! I would have paid around $50-60 for matching Big/Lil outfit on Etsy. Gonna make for a cute picture! Whichever one I'm not using I get to return thanks 30 day return policy! And trust me it was an internal struggle bc $6 for 1 onesie!!!??? haha But it's going to be so worth it and I saved a whole lot of money. Can splurge every once in awhile right...

Other news. Worked out my payment plan with my doctor today. I know this might sound like a lot, but I would think it would be a lot more since I am having a C-Section....My OB care/Delivery fee is $2600 which I'm only required to pay 20% of. So that leaves me with $520 to pay off by my 7th month appointment....which is August! Omg. Is time really flying by that fast?! Well I'm kinda glad I get to pay that bill off before hand (and in monthly installments! lol)

Now if I can have a safe and easy delivery like last time and get out of the hospital in 2 days it will be perfect!! Really not looking forward to those bills...but thank goodness for monthly payments. Yes I will take that 0% "loan" haha.

Miranda

Friday I went to the Miranda Lambert concert. OMG AWESOME! Such a great show! Our seats were awesome too! Out of the opening acts Chris Young was the best.....horrible dancer...but good singer. haha Stick with guitar playing buddy. Then midway through Miranda's set the girl group she's in, Pistol Annies, came out and sang a few songs. Yah! Sang a funny version of their "Ones Drinking Ones Smoking Ones Taking Pills" song but changed the last part to Taking a Piss. haha
One thing I did notice was I'm such an old fart. Miranda didn't come on till 9, and by 10:30 we were yawning not because the show was boring, but it was way past my bedtime. The show wasn't over till about 11:40ish and I didn't get home till 12:20AM! I was dead!

The next day I had to get up bright and early to take Aiden to his soccer. I'm exhausted by this point. He didn't care to play in the game today but man he LOVED getting his award at the end.

After soccer he went over to the in-laws so I could go see the movie "What to expect when expecting" with Wes and our good friends Trey and Brittany.Which by the way was HILARIOUS! I'm really glad they showed all sides of pregnancy. And I seriously think this time around I'm Elizabeth Bank's character. lol

Since I was so worn out from the day before and standing in the heat in the AM. Aiden was going to spend the night with them so I could rest up. Boy am I ever so thankful. Even though I still got up at 7am, I felt refreshed. Now since Aiden doesn't sleep in the pack'n'play anymore he's having trouble sleeping at their house. Woke up at 3am and never took a nap. Bless their hearts. So when he got home after church at 11 we played outside, came inside and he helped me with some chores, next thing I knew it was 5pm. He never went down for a nap. GEEZ I hope this isn't a pattern. Well after dinner I had him sitting in his chair while mommy laid down for a minute while he finished watching Little Bear. Next thing I knew I found him like this....so needless to say he went to bed at 6pm and didn't wake up till 6:30am today.

Baby #2 Names

With the big unveil approaching...eeeek! Like a month away we have started thinking of names...

For the boy name...all the top three seem to be all B names. We aren't 100% positive which one we will chose but this is our list so far...I focused more on this list bc I think it's another boy. :-)
For girls, that was a little tougher. I really wanted an Irish name like Aiden's but most Irish girl names don't sound good with Lambert. We are leaning toward two but won't reveal until we know what the little peanut is.

Projects

This post is a little late.... but better late than never....
I've been working on a few projects for my friend Brittany's baby shower! Ekk! Can't wait for that little guy to arrive. August hurry up!

Since we are having it at my in-laws (able to hold 26 guests there unlike mine or Erica's house), we wanted to do something cute for the fireplace mantle since that's where the gift opening will take place. After much research we came across this cute idea...but $22 bucks. I think not. How much was ours? Nothing! I used leftover burlap from my football wreath, and already had the yarn and paint. Awesome! Love how it turned out.
Next every girl needs a door wreath! We opted to making it instead of spending money on one so we could resource that to something else. So we researched and found the inspiration. It's made out of wood but that we don't have around...so we used burlap and fabric. I just finished painting the burlap, so it's still a work in progress but love it!
The one thing I did finish was my 1st ever diaper cake. Making it was REALLY easy, not too time consuming. but decorating was much harder in my opinion. Why? Because all the How-To's said to use safety pins or push pins...but why would I want to poke holes in the diapers??!! So I used tape. It works just don't touch. Ha! Learned the hard way. So what's included? Btw I stink at cutting cardboard wow it's rough looking....Oh well hopefully everyone will be looking at the goodies instead.
  • 2 sippy cups
  • 75 diapers
  • 4 receiving blankets
  • 1 wubbanub pacifiers (Aiden's fav paci...btw believe it or not the cheapest place to find is Babies R Us. Online about $12 BRU under $10.)
  • 1 Sophie the giraffe teething toy
  • 2 pairs of newborn shoes
  • 1 travel tube of:
    • Johnson and Johnson baby wash
    • Baby sunscreen
    • Boudreaux's butt paste
    • Dial hand sanitizer
  • 1 tube of Medela nipple cream (This was one thing I didn't receive at my showers must less knew I needed...and OMG after the 1st 2 days it's a MUST for breastfeeding mommies!! Sorry TMI but want to share my "wealth" of knowledge)
My birthday was a few weeks ago and I appreciated all the birthday wishes and gifts. Definitely felt the love! My parents got me the beverage dispenser to my everyday pattern. Love! Can't wait to use it...1st time will be at Brittany's shower and then next our many get-togethers with friends/fam. The gift Wes got me, well I picked it out haha, a new purse. I've pretty much abandoned the one shoulder strap bags...instead I opted for one that goes across and is small! Only put my phone, keys, and wallet in there. Nothing else. Love it...and the fact I only paid $35 including shipping! Originally $88! Wes' parents got me a cute necklace and another charm for my Pandora bracelet (four leaf clover- emerald for my birthday month and the represents my irish side). Simple and what I love. So blessed.
Leave with a cute picture of Aiden from today. In preparing for our beach trip I knew Aiden needed a hat, but he hates floppy ones...think he might like this one!! hehe He is growing up so fast.

School

The elementary school Aiden will be attending just had the west wing of the building turn 100!! Whoa nelly! It's the oldest continuous opened school in Shelby County.
Speaking of schools, this week is Teacher's Appreciation Week. So each day Aiden has a little gift for his teachers. Thank goodness they gave us a list of ideas lol.
  • Monday: Fruit
    • Ms. Heather- "I go BANANAS over you!"
    • Ms. Carmen- "You are BERRY special!"
  • Tuesday: Snacks
    • "Favorites for my FAVORITE teacher!"
  • Wednesday: Lunch
    • Providing money for a gift card
  • Thursday: Cards
    • Stumbled across this idea on Pinterest of course ;-) I copied it and let Aiden color all over it. Forgot to take a picture before sealing the envelope.

  • Friday: Classroom Essentials
    • Picked up a few items they need for their classroom

Lastly, I picked up Aiden's classroom picture today back from their spring photoshoot. It looks so cute! I'm impressed they could get all the kids together, not crying, and sitting! haha MAJOR props! The little girl on the far left is Aiden's gf! lol oh young love!

Outside

To sum up our Sunday we were outside all day. Coloring, cleaning, chasing Murph with sticks, playing with water...and notifying me every time a plane was in sight. (Living in Memphis that happens a lot! Thanks to FedEx haha)

After he got tired of coloring he runs into the garage. I think he's gonna pull out his bike. Nope the broom. haha Such a good little helper!

Next it was time to terrorize Murphy. He found some sticks in the yard and proceeded to chase the poor pup with them. See that face he is giving me...it's after I told him to stop or I was going to spank him. He is pointing at me and telling me "No!" So...we proceeded to have a mini time-out on the steps while Mommy got to play with Murph.

Now do you see that MASSIVE bone Murph has?! He found it on one of his morning adventures....it's HUGE!
Once timeout was over I needed to water my new plants so out came the sprinkler, which Aiden had a ball with! First he was all anti-getting wet. Then to warm up to it after I asked him to touch it....so he sticks out his little pointer fingers and oh man then it was fun!
I was dying of laughter. Aiden is such an outdoors kid, which I love!
