As I mentioned before about our grueling yard work I decided to post pictures. I forgot to take before pictures, so Paint came into play to show you where things were removed and what's going to be removed. Kindergarden drawings. :-)

After a long day in the yard when the sun went down on Sunday, we decided to play outside. Aiden loooved playing with Murphy and even trying to chew his leash. The birds were so amazing to him, just kept staring at them. Walking in the grass is still abnormal to him, but at least he's trying.
So today Aiden had his second sleepover at the Gabby and Grande's....which meant me and Wes kicked our yard's butt! lol Well actually it kicked ours!
First we picked up the thousands of sticks that piled up over our past recent storms...LOTS of burning to do tomorrow! Wes cut the grass.
What did I do. OMG! Tackled the most random things ever! I swear the person that lived here before was like "hmmmmm where should I plant this bush...let's put it over there." No rhythm nor reason.
I dug up stones and bricks lining flower beds, dug up the thousands of bulbs in those beds, trimmed down bushes and trees to be ready to dug out....pure exhaustion! OMG!! If I never see a shovel again I will be happy....wait I have to tomorrow. UGH!!
I really tried to dig up the rose bush that's smack dab in the middle of the front yard, but it totally kicked my butt! OMG!! I dug, and dug, and dug. That sucker wouldn't come up. I eventually gave up....and informed Wes that sucker is all his! haha I'm such a nice wife! :-)
We are going to finish up as much as we can before Aiden comes home from church.
So this month we decided to switch gyms, no more YMCA for us...onto ATC Fitness. Why? Because I found it impossible to go straight from work to the gym just to have that daycare option...that's what we were paying for. Now since Aiden's bedtime is so early it really wasn't working out. So it was time to switch and save us money too! Plus it's open 24/7 so that's very nice for me and it's 3 miles down the road.
YMCA= 62 a month
ATC= 40 a month
Every penny helps...it could be only 30 a month, but I decided on adding a feature onto my membership. Tanning. an extra 10 and I can tan all I want. Definitely not a need, but how often do I splurge on myself? Never! Plus, working 24/7 in an office behind a computer makes my Irish really come through and my skin begins to glow. lol
I'm actually saving money adding on that 10, because a single session is 7 at a tanning salon and if I were to get an unlimited package it would be 40...so in the end I win! WINNING! lol
So our schedule is Wes goes while Aiden's in daycare and I go after Aiden goes to sleep (around 7pm). On weekends I go during his nap time that way I'm not missing a single moment with him. We've been doing it about a week now and it really is working. :-) Yah!
I just went for my first tan this Sunday, I'm thinking I'll do it like 2 times a week...and the nerd in me made a little comic to tell my funny story of an actual convo I had with the worker at ATC. Enjoy! You might need to click on it to make it bigger.

*Breaking his habit of the paci (Thank you daycare! He only gets it now when he's teething or REALLY fussy.)
*Breaking his habit of the bottle (Again, thank you daycare!! He only gets it in the morning and bedtime. Soon that morning one will go, but that bedtime one will be hard. Especially, since that one HAS to be heated still...ugh! Every other time he's fine with cold milk, but if you dare to give him that at night. You pay!
Eating Pattern:
Now that we have the molars, he will eat about anything. But is favorite meal hands down is yogurt! SOOO cute. I'll feed him some then he will smack his lips together like MMMMM that's good!
Sleeping Pattern:
Thanks to daycare it's 7pm-6am. OMG it's sooo nice having those extra hours at night. Don't get me wrong I LOOOVE my son and playing with him but after a long day at work Mommy is tired. Plus, gives me time to do the other 10 million things on my list.
In addition, I can now workout at a decent hour. my schedule is not GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry) but LTG (Love on Aiden, Tan, Gym). lol :-) Yes I'm a dork! I come home, play with Aiden till bedtime then I'm off. I would do it in the morning if I could. TOTALLY not a morning person! :-)
Likes:
*Pushing his airplane ride-on! He's so silly!
*Walking around with remotes or the phone
*Turning the lights on and off. One of his favorite things to do!
*Honestly, everything! I don't want to jinks myself, but he truly is one happy baby!
Dislikes:
*Being sick! Which means mommy and daddy have to put saline drops in his nose. Freak out moments!
*When I walk into a room, shut the door, and can't figure out how to get it back open. (It's his uh huh MOMMY HELP ME! moments lolol)
*When mommy won't let me explore the drawers in the bathroom vanity
This weekend was fun! It was the first one in awhile, which means adventures outside! Hence my little photoshoot in the front yard. He was too funny! I sat him down on the towel, took his paci,yes a teething day :-(, to get him to walk...instead he crawled and the faces were priceless. All the noises (dogs barking, four wheelers, cars) were exciting to him.
Thanks to my awesome hubby and Steve for hooking up this beauty!!!! I didn't know how much longer we could go without a dryer...as 5 loads were waiting to be washed and only 3 clean towels remained in the house. Changing Aiden's sheets and blanket every night just added up.
It's so beautiful and HUGE!!! I can dry a comforter in there no problem at all! How sweet is that! So Wes has been a cleaning machine today and knocking everything out.
Tomorrow is Aiden's 1st day back after being sick. His poor teachers are going to pay...totally off schedule now! At least Wes is going to be the bad guy and drop Aiden off in the morning! Wha ha ha (my evil laugh)!
My favorite thing about getting ready in the mornings now is hearing the pitter patter of little feet trying to find me after eating breakfast. Aiden loves to follow me from room to room. I love that silly boy!
Everyone go see "Morning Glory" starring Harrison Ford, Rachel McAdams, Diane Keaton. HILARIOUS!! Harrison and Diane were so great together. We were laughing our butts off last night. It's at Redbox.
So the awesome ladies at the consignment store had an amazing overstock sale this weekend!! Brand new precious smocked items for great prices! Kelly's Kids, Wish Upon A Star, Castles and Crowns, Viva La Fete, etc...
Since I helped them setup for the sale they let me have three of the most expensive outfits I picked out for free. AWESOME right?!?! And I got to shop before everyone else! Double AWESOME!! Sweetest ladies ever! Best 2 hours I've ever spent. Plus, I got to talk about Bham with a fellow lady sporting a Hoover Football sweatshirt. Rare to see them up in Memphis.
Check out my loot! Yes I would say I did a great job finding the most non-girlie ones. I think the yellow short set might be the most girlie, but it was too cute to pass. I even found him his Easter Outfit! YAH!
So what do you think the total price was?! (I even bought Aiden's bff 2 adorable outfits for his bday that are not pictured. Wish I could have bought them matching ones, but the they didn't have the sizes I needed for Aiden How cute would that be matchy matchy!)....well if you guess under $100 you are correct! AMAZING right...knowing that the typical price for these are $45+ for one and I ending up with 10!! Go me! Go me! Gotta love bargains!
Aiden Update: Doing MUUUUCH better! Getting back to his normal self. However, I'm keeping him out of daycare probably til Friday so hes 100%
It's been a long day for the Lamberts. Full day of sitting in the doctor's office. Aiden is congested really bad and still maintaining the 102 temp. Poor little guy screamed his butt off there. They drew blood to check his blood count, which was high! ugh! Took a strep test, negative there. And then the worst part....the xray! OMG! It made sense the contraption they put him in to keep his arms up, but the poor little guy was scared and screaming. Wes could hear him all the way in the back. :-( Broke my heart! I hope we never have to do that again.
No, this isn't Aiden just an example of the machine used I found online.....scary right??!!! OMG! See why I was freaking....and it was dark in there totally a frightening experience. Now I understand why kids scream whenever they have to go to the doctor.
The only thing that kept him calm was the throat stick. lol I think you would be a little panicked if you were at the doctors office for 4 hours. Nice to know even through the sickness I can make the little guy smile. Look at that pitiful face...So therefore my eyes are glued to the monitor for the remainder of the day as I work from home...he sleeps so cute! Arms tucked and legs crossed. So cute!!! He's so tired because he can't sleep more than 30 minutes without a big cough or sneeze making him wake up. Poor guy!
After our long day we headed over to Boatwright's to get Aiden's prescription filled. Not only did he get a shot in the office, but for the next 5 days he will be taking a Zpack. I hope it works...we also stocked up on more Tylenol, Pedialyte, Poly-V-Sol vitamins.
The only good news that came out of the doctors office....as I was holding Aiden down on the table, one of those many hold downs (strong little sucker!!)....I spotted something. NEW TEETH! Ah! His top molars have poked through and his bottom molars are going to burst through at any moment, his gums were white (kinda freaky looking, but exciting! lol). I've been waiting for new ones to pop through. This will help him eat even more big people food. Yah!
Off we go to the doctor tomorrow because the little man turned for the worse around noon today. He was perfectly fine in the morning we were playing and even took a shower together....then all the sudden his fever shot up to 102! AH!!
He is at least drinking normal and somewhat eating...would only eat Cheerios and yogurt though. Poor Aiden! My left shoulder had a pool of snot and slobber permanently on it. :-( He just isn't sleep very well and constantly wakes up, so Aiden was one TIRED baby today. Kept falling asleep on my shoulder.
He definitely is a momma's boy clinging to me for dear life all day!...he wouldn't even let Wes hold him so I could change his sheets or to fix him a bottle. Awww! The only time I could put him down was if he was between me and Wes on the sofa so he could lean back and forth on us....so let's just say my arms got a WORKOUT today!
Let's hope his fever goes down and it's nothing major! I hate seeing him like this and not being able to take anything. Pitiful!
All week I have been sick as a dog. Spring has arrived in Memphis and what does that mean SINUS ATTACK! I've lived in many places and still can't get used to the 1st weeks of spring here. My body can't handle it. I'm not alone either because all this week my coworkers have been dropping like flies too. UGH! Not what I needed this week since I was in the support room and on-call all week. Meaning I couldn't take off to recover....until FRIDAY! Nooooo.
So I suffered all week even the day I worked till 7pm and then on Friday I slept half the day. Exactly what I needed because I woke up this morning not feeling like death for once. However......it's spread to the rest of the family. Nooooo! Both Wes and Aiden are out! Looks like me and Wes switched caretaker roles. Coughing, runny noses, luckily no fevers. I even kept Aiden out of daycare Friday because he was pouring snot out of his nose. :-( Poor little guy!
So since he can't take any medicine...up went one side of the mattress, humidifier stocked with water, Vick's vapor spray stocked, saline drops stocked, Vick's baby rub stocked, and clean sheets/blankets galore (changing every day). This is the time when I get gitty thinking about the new dryer coming TUESDAY! :-)
Thankfully even though Aiden doesn't feel good he is acting normal. Playing, laughing, eating/drinking right. Just has snot balls and coughing. With raising the bed we found a long lost friend. His lion paci hidden btw the mattress and bumper pad. Milestone. Aiden doesn't want his paci 24/7 Thank you daycare! However, since he's sick he has been reaching for it. Now since we have both he was hilarious yesterday.
Hmmm monkey paci. wait lion. Now monkey. Back and forth. He liked having options and walking around with both in hands. lol Silly boy!
I even sneaked some videos to show you him walking! He is doing so good now! And even learning to swat to pick up things instead of falling to his butt. Growing up so fast!! excuse the bad quality I was testing out the video option on our new camera.
So this weekend I had planned on Wes taking Aiden's 1 year old pictures...I guess not with the sickness and the RAIN! OMG! Past 2 days it has been pouring here and causing rivers to form in the backyard. So I guess we will postpone.
I love you flowers, but you are the devil! lol
Daycare update. On Wednesday Aiden brought home his first craft project. I know awwwww right?! It was Wacky Sock Wednesday, so they decorated socks. He picked out all the decorations and the teachers applied them. First of many projects. LOVE!
On another note, Aiden is 13 months today! AH! I'll do that post later.
Also, everyone please keep some of my friends in your thoughts and prayers. They lost their little boy last week after a long 2 month struggle. My heart just broke into a million little pieces when I found out. I kinda stood there stunned didn't know what to say or do...but my heart and support goes out to them through this difficult time. Times like these open eyes to enjoy every little moment good and bad because you don't know when those times together are going to end. I loved the balloon release. Very special moment!
