Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did! We went over to Wes' parents and got our grub on...except Aiden. He didn't eat one thing...except pumpkin pie. lol Oh well it's the holiday so I guess dessert can be the meal. Brody did what he does best...sleep. The best part about Thanksgiving?!? Wes was off and this weekend was his 3 day weekend. So lots of time together!! :-) He is so silly!
I know I'm not alone but I did not participate in any Black Friday shopping. We all slept in till 9am...which was so nice! Well except me...lol had to feed Brody at 2am and 5am. Then when we were preparing breakfast...OH NO! No milk!! How the heck did that happen?! I decided it might be okay to brave Walmart at noon with Aiden since I had to pick up a few baby items too. Luckily there was no crowd, Aiden was a PERFECT child (thank goodness!) so his reward for listening and behaving a new Batman shirt (which was on sale for $3 score!), and checkout was AWESOME! (they had like every register open). So I guess I did do some Black Friday shopping  ;-)
Speaking of feeding Brody...I think I'm only going to pump. He has trouble latching onto the right side, which is making my supply come in crazy. Left always makes more, and definitely don't want my boobs to be 2 different sizes lol. The other perk is I know exactly how much he's getting. He eats 3oz each feeding. 2oz then we have to change his diaper because he falls asleep and then he will have another ounce. Plus this will make the transition to daycare much easier since he will be used to taking the bottle.
Random note. Wes got my Christmas present today. EEEKK! SO excited! I've been wanting one for about 2+ years now, but never could bring myself to pay for one (expensive!). However, now they have a smaller, lighter, cheaper version so I finally brought myself to say its okay. Sad to think after accessories and apple-care its almost the same amount as our mortgage. And it's really sad when they have the option to pay with 2 cards....really?! So I finally allowed Wes to splurge on me...with.....a.....new.....Ipad Mini!!! Hard to believe a techie like me doesn't have a personal PC, nor a Iphone, or Ipad....haha I guess I'm finally a "hipster".

This week while Aiden is at school I'm starting to decorate for Christmas and our Elf's arrival Saturday. :-)

Annoucement

Sorry I've been MIA but my hands are a little full, and all my free time I spend with Aiden. But I'm going to try to blog during Brody's nap when Aiden is at school.

Quick update: Today we have Brody's 1st of many doctor visits. Oh joy! Yesterday we let Aiden play hooky from school since everyone was going to be at home. He is such a good brother! Informs me every time when Brody "cries" aka grunts. He was so funny telling me he wanted "babies milk" aka breastmilk. I said you did have it once until you got those little teeth. His response "I'm a gator! CHOMP!" hahaha

Mommy is feeling better. My incision doesn't hurt as bad to touch and my stomach is starting to collapse. Now I just need it to raise. haha! Can't wait to be able to workout again! Getting more mobile, but if I'm on my feet for awhile my back really hurts where they stuck me. Oh and every other day my feet swell (thought that was over!?) so I'm a water drinking machine.

I leave with Brody's birth announcement. Since we got magnets again I had to be selective of who to give them to. Those suckers are expensive, but I love having Aiden's on our fridge and on my work cabinet. We also got his hospital newborn pictures yesterday! Can't wait to frame them!!

The last one

After much discussion and back and forth we decided Brody would be our last. As much as we want a girl I was firm on not having any kids over 30 and I couldn't imagine having another baby in the next 3 years. It was a tough decision but it had to be made. So after Brody came out they went and tied my tubes.

With that being said...my boys are my world!! I came home on Thursday and a little boy was waiting on me. Aiden sure missed his mommy! But that night he slept horrible coughing so with a newborn in the house we went straight to the doctor Friday morning. Only to find out he had early stages of pneumonia, which means he had to go back to the grandparents house for a couple days.
Literally broke my heart. I had already been away from him for 4 days...not sure I could take more days. It was sooo tough seeing him leave and talking to him each day (yes this emotional mommy cried). Just wanted all my guys home...
Which FINALLY they are!!! I am so so so excited! I know I will get worn out but this makes me so happy! First thing Aiden wanted to do when he got home was to hold Brody. He was a natural! Since Brody was waking up meant it was time to eat so the grunting came, which Aiden would say "Brody crying. Oh no!" haha the face is priceless. haha
Then I asked Aiden if he wanted to feed him. "YES!!!!" As you can see he is already such a good big brother!

A big difference from the hospital. There are no pictures of them together because Aiden wouldn't get near him. He was even afraid of me the 1st day. Guess it scared him me in the bed and not being able to get up to pick him up.

Brody's Here!!

It's 4:30am Monday morning and we are up and getting ready to head to the hospital. After getting checked in they send us to a delivery room to change, stick me, and monitor Brody until the OR is ready. Why are my veins so hard to get?! They had trouble with last time too. I got stuck in each hand, on the side of one hand, until they decided to just go at my inner elbow (where I always give blood). What does that mean for those missed shots....bruises and pain from when they were twisting the needle in my arm trying to get one. ugh!

We head back at 7:42am. Next begins the fun part (not!) where they get you on the table and ask you to lean forward so they can stick you in the back. Mini panic attack because you feel as if you are going to fall off, even if there are 2 nurses supporting you. Man when that drug gets pushed in the numbness begins....from my belly to my toes. All I feel is just a little pressure but nothing more. Now its time to get Brody out.

Wes comes in and sits next to me...then it hits me...I threw up twice. So Wes is over there catching it and sucking it out of my mouth. Didn't do that last time...Next comes the funny part the anesthesiologist tells Wes to get the camera ready to get the pictures of him coming out. hahaha I told her could she take the pics because he doesn't need to see that (as he has a panic look on his face) haha. Here is a picture that isn't too disturbing (That's his head coming out first).
I get to hear those sweet cries and Wes goes over to the baby table as they complete all their checklists while I'm getting my tubes tied. Finally I got to see my sweet boy like 30 minutes later. This time I asked them to relax on whatever drug makes you loopy and just do the numbness one so I was more aware what was going on this time. Since it was my last time I wanted to be more awake. Live and learn.
Next I get wheeled off to the recovery room for an hour and finally getting to spend some QT time with Brody. I was shocked how much hair he had! Now comes the annoyance of having the IV in my inner elbow. I swear I set the alarm off at least 30 times. Kind of hard to hold a baby and not bend your elbow.
So the stats.
Arrived at 8:06am. 9lb 13oz and 20.5in. He was 3oz bigger than Aiden but it didn't feel that way probably because he's head is smaller. You know what the first thing I said when I got to hold him. hahaha "Awww yes! Maybe he will actually be able to wear hats!" hahaha
He already loves his mommy and enjoys sleeping on me. Now if we could only get his brother near him...(I'll go into that in another post)

We are leaving tomorrow from the hospital I decided to take that extra day since he's getting circumcised at the moment. And just to make sure I'm able to be productive when I get home.

They had me walking Monday night (can you say pain!?) But the real pain was on Tuesday. They took off all the bandages and tape. That tape felt like duck tape and the pain MISERABLE...and I was expected to walk and every time I moved it felt like I was ripping open. Lovely sight right?! And forget about crying because you use your abs for that, which only makes it more painful. Lose Lose situation.

Thank goodness for this belly band. I took my first shower yesterday and boy was I tender. And getting out of the bed was a feat! But last night it was easier getting in and out and today it has been MUCH better, so I'm figuring tomorrow will be even better!

I can't wait to go home and be with all 3 of the guys in my life. Miss Aiden so much!!!

Countdown

How was our halloween? Well Aiden refused to put on his costume, so he was a "rocker" (band shirt and jeans) not worth fighting over. We headed up to the church with Gabby and his cousins and the fun began. Little man had a blast!! He was all over the bouncy house and the putt-putt game. Then he realized there was candy.....he would get a piece eat it right there and then ask for more. Not sure if he gets the concept of "trick or treating" yet. lol But I finally convinced him to put them in his bag but if he got a Dum Dum...game over. It was eaten right then.

Boy did I pay later! He was SOOO sticky and getting a bath was miserable. He was so jacked up on sugar that he didn't go to bed until 11:30. Mommy was EXHAUSTED! Then at 4am he wakes up....cranky, whiny, and crying. Are you kidding me?! So I fought with him till about 5:30 convincing him to lay down with Mommy. I pass out for another hour getting woken up by a little boy asking for yogurt and Monkey. Uggggghhhhhh! So we start our day. I'm miserable and he's still kind of cranky. Needless to say he got to school very late and I headed off to my last high risk OBGYN doc visit.

Getting dressed is miserable too now. Brody has dropped and finding shirts long enough are rare. My wardrobe is shrinking....and forget closed toe shoes. The swelling has arrived! I totally rocked my slippers today. hahaha Hot right?!! At least they are cute!
It was a quick visit. Brody passed his BPP test fast and he was measuring 9lbs and 10oz. See why I'm so uncomfortable?! Ontop of my 33cm of fluid.

After my appointment I stopped by the Carter's Outlet store since it's a block away to get the boys Christmas pjs. I figured getting them now would be easier than when Brody is here. Who would have thought finding matching pjs would be so hard....but things that would fit Aiden the smallest size came in 12mo....so heres what I ended up getting:
I love how Brody's says "Little" and the Santa on the butt is precious! And the best part...I got them for $8 each! Then since it was after Halloween all of their Halloween shirts were on super clearance, so I picked up the boys shirts for next year for only $2 each. My splurge was on a cute fleece pj set for Aiden. The shirt he can wear to daycare too on cold days.
Now I'm spending the next 10 days getting ready for Brody. Putting the last finishing touches on his room. Slowly cleaning each room. Spending as much time as possible with Aiden. Having a pamper day. Having a date night with Wes. etc. Daddy is putting in as much overtime as possible right now so we can pay off those hospital bills quick. Today I completely gutted and cleaned the freezer, frig, and pantry (my mom is stocking me up with precooked food! Which is wonderful!).

Lastly I leave with sneak peeks....not finished yet.
This Bama game is killing me!!!! AHHHHH can't believe we scored!!!!!! RTR!!!!
