Easter?
Well Easter didn't pan out exactly how I wanted it to be...but I still got to spend time with the ones I love. We missed lunch, the egg hunt, still have an unopened Easter basket, and no family pictures. :-( Aiden needed a nap after church, and when he woke up it took about 2.5 hours for him to be enjoyable. His teeth were really bothering him.
PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOMSo why did I want this one...well being a mommy I must be able to carry Aiden's supplies in my bag. Yes, I know I have a diaper bag, but since he's not an infant and that supply list is shrinking there is no point to carry that big thing around as much. Mainly use it just on long days or trips.

Easter is Near
Today was such a beautiful day! I hope it sticks around tomorrow for our egg hunt!! Last night we had family dinner at Wes' parents house and Aiden got his Easter basket from them. Such a lucky little boy!
So on this beautiful day we went and played in the front yard with the gifts. He LOOVES bubbles and gets so excited! Then I put him by this worm sprinkler and he was so amazed. I wanted to see if he would walk through it if I went on the other side, but my smart little boy knew going around was better and safer! lol But don't worry he still got PLENTY wet!
Yesterday, we went to go see the Easter bunny and no tears were shed. You can't really tell from his picture, but he was all smiles and kept trying to pull off the bunny's glasses. Excuse the quality of the picture I didn't feel like scanning it, so I took a picture with my phone. :-)
Can't wait to get all together with the fam for church and a yummy meal. Thank goodness I had a extreme workout today! :-) I'm making green bean casserole and butternut squash. YUM! If you haven't had butternut squash, me and Aiden are BIG fans! Try it! It's excellent baked. Don't worry more pictures to come tomorrow!!
Side note: I can't wait for next year because I get to hide Aiden's Easter basket! I've seen some cute ideas on other blogs that I definitely want to do! Plus I saw some really cute cupcakes I will try next year too. Check out the links:
Easter Basket Scavenger HuntBunny Ear Cupcakes
Two more random items: First, again as I was reading blogs I saw this CUTE idea!!! If we ever have a little girl, I am totally enlisting Wes to help his Dad make this adorable kitchen!! Something like that is sooo much cuter than a store bought kitchen. Probably cheaper too. :-) Check out the link:
Play KitchenSecond, I finished two items for Aiden's Big Boy room. For his wall collage I mentioned before. I wanted to mix photos, objects, canvas, cross stitch all different sizes and shapes. So what did I work on...the cross stitching part. A cute little octopus and a family of jellyfish. Did you notice the jellyfish equals 3??!! Yes, that's my representation of us! Aiden is yellow because he's the light of our life. Deep huh?! Or just corny?! You decide :-)

Been Gone For So Long! 14 months!
Man, it's been forever since I've blogged. So much to share! April has been one crazy month!! I have been completely swamped at work and then every weekend it's packed with something to do. I need a breather! Looking forward to my massage next weekend!!! :-)
Stats:
Height: 32inches
Weight: 29pounds
Size 5 diapers
24 month clothes
Milestones:
*Learned to clap and wave bye-bye!
*Eats any and everything! No more special food just for him aka baby food.
*Can push himself around on his ride on
*Can stand up without holding on to something! Practicing those baby squats! :-)
*Gives the biggest bear hugs, which is amazing on a bad day!
Eating Pattern:
Eats everything Mommy and Daddy does. Loves drinking from our cups too. Only has 2 to 3 bottles of milk a day. Only when he's having teething fits is when he won't eat food, but he definitely never misses a meal. He is a cheerio and mandarin orange freak! LOVES them!
Sleeping Pattern:
6:30-6:30 every day. The latest he will stay up is 7pm. Praise the lord! He even sleeps through tornado sirens and storms! Heavy sleeper like mommy! However, if he's teething like the other night......he doesn't sleep and expects Mommy to stand, not sit, and rock him. The minute I would sit down, he would wake up and SCREAM...right in my ear and heaven forbid I pass him off to daddy so I can rest. WW3 starts! SUCH A MOMMA'S BOY!!!
Likes:
*Being outside! I swear he'd stay out there all day if he could.
*Hunting for eggs...and then throwing them out of the basket or trying to eat it. This year we went to Germantown's egg hunt. VERY NICE bouncies, petting zoo, a bunny, firetrucks, etc. Wish it wasn't so cold or we would have stayed longer.
*Kids. Where ever we go if kids are there he is the happiest baby ever! A little sparkle comes in his eye and the biggest smile. Adorable!
*As always Murphy! He loves to chase him around inside and outside! BFF!
*Pushing things. Toys, Chairs, Chairs with my cuz Harlee in it. lol STRONG BOY!
Dislikes:
*When Mommy leaves the room or walks away. BAD mommy separation anxiety going on.
*When Mommy and Daddy can't understand my talking aka screeching and screaming. lol Not real words yet.
*When I poop and no one cleans it immediately....we have learned to wait a few minutes after we smell it or else! haha Gonna have to immediately change him again!
I wish all these tornado warnings would go away!!!!! And the RAIN!!!! It must be pretty this weekend! MUST!

What happens in Nola....
Thanks to my awesome MIL me and Aiden got the chance to go to New Orleans two weeks ago! It was a much needed trip! We had a blast, and I swear Aiden is one well travelled baby.
Back to the saying, "What happens in Nola...Stays in Nola!" Literally! We went down with his fav monkey paci...and it didn't come back. It's somewhere on the streets of Nola....along with the replacement paci. UGH! At least we are trying ween him of it....

Aiden is such a good traveller and slept most the time, except when he has pooped. lol WW3 starts...but if I were him I would be crying too! As soon as we got there I needed to change his clothes and we headed off to Cafe Du Monde and then Pat O's for dinner and drinks. Great way to start the trip huh?! Aiden didn't care to much about eating surprisingly....he was more concerned with watching all the people and birds. So he became the official people watcher. :-) And of course there was some flirting in there too.
And no I didn't get him that paci :-)
While Regina was at her conference on a stormy day me and Aiden headed over to the Aquarium! Apparently everyone had that idea because the ticket line was FOREVER long! But this gave Aiden ample time to people watch. He loved watching all the little kids, just soaking it all in and laughing with them.
It was a pretty nice Aquarium. Nothing like Atlantas, but just big enough to waste some time. Aiden loooved the tunnel. His head kept going back and forth watching all the animals floating over our heads. The face was priceless. Most the trip he was chillaxing in his stroller just soaking it all in.
The day before we left I learned more about Nola then I ever knew. It's such a neat town. I love the history and architecture! To die for! We took a walking tour of the art district, seeing all the beautiful homes (stalked some famous people like Sandra Bullock, Archie Manning, and Nicholas Cage) and went to a cemetery! Who would have ever thought a cemetery would have been sooo breathe taking. The way they bury family is kinda neat and I totally like the idea. Aiden was a good little trooper even when the sun got in his eye, but don't stop or the whining began. But he did great! Taking a tour really made me want to go visit Charleston. On my list! Maybe one day just me and Wes can go when we are old and Aiden is in college. :-)
After a full day of exploring New Orleans outside of the French Quarter we had to stop and take pictures of Jackson Square as the sun was going down and take a carriage ride. Whoever decided to build steps across from the church was genius! Turned out for some great shots! As you can see Aiden is learning to wave, which is more of a reach right now. lol Silly boy!
After picture time we put Aiden down to explore and he saw some other boys playing and he started to smile SO big and walked toward them. He just loves kids! After play time it was time for the carriage ride....which turned out to be Aiden's first time to see a mule! SOOOO CUTE! We walked over and one of the mules stuck his head out close to us and Aiden was freaking out like "WHOA! Mommy WHAT is that!!!!!????" then I started to pet the mule and Aiden wanted nothing to do with it. He just kept giving him the stare down and was on guard. During the ride, this was another time I got to stalk celebrities named Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. :-)
It was a fun trip, but after I needed another week to recover. Aiden's separation anxiety was kicked in to high gear that week and Mommy was EXHAUSTED after.

More ideas
Being in New Orleans is such inspiration! I got so many GREAT ideas for Aiden's big boy room! I love the architecture, details, and colors! A mix of traditional and modern. Right up my alley!
Of course all the artwork I fell in love with was 200 plus...not in my price range, but they were gorgeous! There was one artist that drew crabs and fish using different color dots on the canvas till you could see the animal. GORGEOUS!! I should have taken a picture.
However, I finally came across one thing that was perfect...except the price. 25 for a little 5x5 canvas....really 25 for that. I think I could do that! So yes, I will attempt to do it! I was thinking how cool would it be to do fun colors and have the crabs/fish/lobsters go different angles.
Light Blue-Red
Green-Purple
Yellow-Blue
So I think that will be adorable on his wall mixed with this other idea. I like the thought of mixing frames and canvas! I was thinking for the frames to find neat nautical postcards or images or even nautical flags.
Paint: I think I want to do Creme Brulee above the chair rail and a muted Navy on the bottom. Or vice versa...not sure yet still obviously...Wes say definitely not to the Summer Resort.
I am so glad I'm blogging this, because lord knows how forgetful I am! And when the time comes for transition all this stuff might be on sale! Double bonus! So here's what I forgot to link on the other post.

Progress...
I will post about our New Orleans trip later, so tonight is a random post.
First: Thanks to Grande and his handy dandy chain saw we said bye-bye to the unwanted trees and limbs. Now our burn pile as grown again. UGH! Oh well, all in the name of progress!!!
As he was cutting down everything me and Aiden were saying "Timber!" He's getting so cute learning to wave (which means I reach for you with my hand open)...I'm trying to get him to move it. So cute! Another thing Aiden has learned is to clap! Yah!! FINALLY! lol I've been trying to get him to do that forever! Success to mommy!
Yesterday, I was pulling out all the Easter gear from the attic. Of course only klutz here would hurt myself. I kneed the side of the door opening and huge bruise now. :-(
Last week before we left for Nola, Aiden did the cutest thing EVER! Put on his daddy's hat while he was at the movies with his Bro. At first he put it on then freaked because he couldn't see...but my smart little boy said "hmmm if I turn it around I can see!!" So smart!
I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but last week it definitely was at it's worse. Aiden is experiencing separation anxiety away from Mommy! If I leave the room. Freak out! If he can still see me or hear me, but I'm not right next to him. Freak out! If I go to the bathroom and don't let him in. Freak out! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! OMG! I love it, but Mommy needs a break sometimes! Not sure what to do to break him of this...guess I need to do some research.
