Mommy Time
Mommy Time today was funny! Full of flipping, giggling, biting, and POOPING! I swear in 20 minutes we went through 3 diapers! Poop every time. All different kinds of poops. Solids, Liquids, both. Dear Lord! Poor baby...maybe that's why Wes said he was fussy today. His tummy was upset, and he saved it ALL for mommy! Lil Stinker!
Today we had a discovery! Aiden discovered his TOES, and he could touch them! Ahh! They were great play toys today.

Already Sunday
Man! I can't believe it's Sunday already! Off to work tomorrow I go...
This weekend was relaxing though. Saturday was relaxing day at home with my hubby and baby boy. We were going to go to the pool, but the rain decided to come. However surprisingly it wasn't HOT! So me and Poot went swimming today. He just loves the water so much. Never cries, just floats and looks around. :-) Crazy boy.
He is sleeping SOOOOO good these days. 9or10pm to 7or8am! One of my coworkers who's thinking of starting his own family was asking me all these funny questions the other day. Like how Aiden sleeps etc, which I said JUST improved but before it was like waking up at 1am, 3am, 5am, etc. He goes "Does it affect you at work?!" I died laughing....hahahaha....well let's put it this way, "Does not eating or drinking affect you? So, yes it definitely DEFINITELY does. Hence why my brain was going at half speed those first 4 months" Gotta love it.
I have included some pictures of tummy time with baby boy when we got home today. I even caught a little bit of his smile without movement! YAH! He has started this thing now that every time you get him to smile he like gets embarrassed and hides his head. UGH what's with that now I'm REALLY never going to get one. I will ONE DAY! :-)
However, today marked a milestone. I broke down his swing! AHHH! The swing that was our lifesaver those first 4 months. The swing that we couldn't live without. The swing that was the ONLY thing that could calm baby boy down and make him go to sleep. OMG! We have officially now become a BIG boy!
The reason why I broke it down and came to this milestone was we hadn't put him in there all week and I thought maybe this morning he might like to get in there before he out grew it (only 3 lbs more and he was at the max)....WRONG the whole time he kept trying to FLIP! OMG! Yeah I just saw flashes of him flipping out and falling to the floor hitting all the metal and hardwoods. Yeah, that's not going to happen! Bye bye swing.

Swimming
While Wes plays, Aiden and mommy will play. By Swimming! Yah! I got him a shirt to protect his skin, because with the way the heat is now...lord knows we all need it. Especially my pale butt. I'll probably need to put on 100. :-) Gonna be a good weekend. Don't worry there will be pictures!
Thankfully, NO WEEKEND WORK. The business accepted it to get done on Monday. YAH!
As I'm sitting here writing this Aiden is....laying on his belly on his blanket, watching Braves baseball and cooing.....Is he already learning to cheer for daddy's team!? But then he gets distracted by his froggie blanket...so soft and shiny. :-)
Well off to watch the "Tooth Fairy" with The Rock. I actually love his films. "The Game Plan" LOVED!!!
Also got little man's small stroller for the big trip over the fourth, because I know my arms get SOO tired after holding him. I like it, because it just screams Alabama. lol So like my bathroom. Red, White, and Black. Love!! Will be perfect for those short trips aka compact. The other stroller we have is for LONG days at like the Zoo, Park, etc aka BIG!
Private
My blog is now private.
So hello my friends!
This morning Aiden was saved by his buddha belly! :-) I got a text from Wes saying "Lil man rolled off the couch. Scare me so bad" NOT what mommy wanted to hear...so I begin panic mode. Luckily Wes said everything was okay he wasn't crying, but laughing and eventually passed out. lol Crazy boy.
So baby food update from Aiden:
Sweet Peas- Love/Hate relationship. One minute I love. Next I hate. Which is it mommy?!
Rice Cereal- HATE HATE HATE. I cry and spit it out constantly, so not doing this again.
Bananas- 2nd favorite. Makes me smile!
Apple Sauce-LOOOOOOVES! but doesn't keep my belly full so I woke up at night. So this is becoming only a daytime meal.
Other than that he is now eating half a container in one sitting and keeps him full. YAH! So maybe he will become less of a chunky monkey. 1.25oz compared to the 4-6oz he wanted from the bottle.
Off to a day full of meetings and testing. Joy of Go-Live time!

Flipping
YAH! Aiden is flipping! All by himself!!! He's growing up so fast!!!! You know what that means, crawling is right around the corner. I was surprised he did it, since he's a BIG boy.
On Saturday night he woke up twice, ugh!, crying because he flipped and knew he wasn't suppose to be like that but couldn't figure out how to flip back. But by Sunday he knew not to flip and slept from 10-6. OMG! Probably why I had such a good day today. I finally got sleep! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! His sleeping pattern is getting much much better.
I'll have to film him this weekend and post it.
His little personality is beginning to show, it's so cute. Love my little guy so much! I wanted to stay home with him and daddy today. They were having bonding time in the couch when I was leaving for work. :-(

DIY Project 5
How to make a personal step stool. Thanks:
Prudent BabyI don't know why I fell so in love with this stool, but I wanted to try it myself.
Plus it's a multipurpose stool! And I LOOOVE that.
Currently it will be used in the kitchen to reach those hard to reach items in the pantry and cabinets. I have not been able to reach some things in my pantry at the top shelf in forever, hopefully now I can reach those long lost boxes of cereal. :-) Once Aiden gets bigger it will be his stool to use in the bathroom so he can wash his hands, brush his teeth, etc. Yah to Multipurpose! And if he doesn't like the pattern I'll just spend another 70 cents to let him pick out the paper to cover it with.
Materials & Cost:
Stool- 10 dollars
Background Paper- 50 cents
Mod Podge- 4 dollars
White Paper- 20 cents
Total Cost- 14.70
I research stools EVERYWHERE and could not find anything under 20 dollars, so excellent savings. All materials purchased at JoAnns.
Finished project! Well I have some more coats of Mod Podge to put on before its done. But you get the idea.

Rice Cereal
I promised pictures so here they are. So funny. His eyes say it all.....
"Daddy what are you doing?" "Please do not capture this moment. I'm so dirty and not looking cute." "How dare you give me this crap instead of my bottle!!"
I learned after the second try to get him COMPLETELY undressed because that cereal is going to be ALL over him. So much easier to clean a naked baby over a clothed one :-)
Another thing I will lust for until it goes on sale...is a night light for Aiden's room. Since he is sleeping in there now I don't want to turn on the overhead light when he wakes up in the night. Because I can say for me it hurts my eyes, so I know it hurts him.
He's got a lamp in there right now, but I still feel like it's bright. A wall plug-in night light doesn't give off enough light I think....so I found something that will work perfectly. And of course it's something weird. I mean hello I'm the one who bought him a lime green buddha and a frog humidifier. So what else would go so perfectly with all that......a dachshund light! hahaha Wow I'm weird, but I just really like it. However, not at $69. So let the research begin. Not sure what color I want...either white, blue, yellow or orange....Which ever I can find the best price at probably.

Look at it in this room. AWESOME!

Me Time
Yah!
Cookbook Clubis tomorrow! Topic: Joy of Jelly Making!
Something I've never done before, so I'm excited! Mudder used to do it, I remember all the apricot, peach, raspberry jellies growing up. Yum!
Now that work is drowning me I finally feel like myself. Thank god! If it's not scorching like a hot skillet I want to go on a walk in the park for at least 30 minutes. I need to start doing it daily. I think I (and Aiden) can handle 30 minutes. Hot nature beings.
At work today me and the ladies decided 1 night of the month we are going to do ladies night out. Yah!! So excited about that! I think we can all handle 1 night with our busy schedules. This month: Blue Fin. YAH!! I haven't eaten raw sushi since I found out I was pregnant. The joy of not breastfeeding anymore. I can even enjoy a drink other than wine! YAH! Will be nice to return to normal society where I can enjoy a nice cocktail on a evening out.
Night out is much needed. I love being with Aiden and Wes when not at work, but now realizing at times I just need to catch up with the girls and kick back. Will keep me sane. Everyone needs their space from time to time, doesn't mean you don't love the other just need to have "me" time. Before it was soaking in the jacuzzi (for an hour hahaha)...which still is my #1 me time, but my girls miss me. Harder for me to go to lunch with them these days since work is overtaking them. So I'm definitely getting excited about the 25th.

Organize
Today I started to clean one side of the garage to hopefully soon be able to park my car in there. It hadn't been a big deal to be in there, but now since Aiden's car seat stays in there 24-7 and is black I don't want the 100 degree weather to burn his butt. He's already hot nature as is.
Looks good! It was hot as heck when I was in there working. Literally sweat was pouring down my face. Thank goodness just the freezer needs to move over and I'm in!
Next project I accomplished.
Hiding the formula and rice cereal containers.
I know I could put them in a cabinet, but lets be honest I take them out all the time and it's a pain. So I needed a solution. I found one thanks to one of my
DAILY READS: PRUDENT BABYSo I found some containers at Target for $20 and am able to store everything! They also came with awesome stainless spoons that are 1 Tablespoon. Perfect! The measurement I needed. End result. No more boxes and formula bottles making my counter top always look untidy and like I just went to the store.
Then after Aiden is out of rice cereal and formula I can use them for Flour, Sugar, Brown Sugar, etc. Currently those are being house in OLD yellow and orange Tupperware containers in the cabinets. Definitely not something I want to display :-) As I can see money well spent. Multipurpose.
4 months!
It's been 4 months!!

Stats:
Weight: 22 pounds 5 ounces
Length: 26 inches
Size 3 diapers
9-12 month clothes
Getting more hair on my head!! You can actually see it in pictures now :-)
Likes:
*MY DADDY!!! Always knows how to make him smile and stares him down.
*My monkey paci
*Soft blankets to put in my mouth
*My jumperoo. Jumping and falling asleep in it
*Mommy giving me baths and using the squirter toys on me, since I like to try and spray mommy when she puts me in the tub. Pay back!
*Tummy time! Calms me down when I'm being moody
*When I see the bottle in front of me because I know my parents understood me when I cry out "I'm HUNGRY" lol He pulls his hands in a prayer position and wiggles his head.
Dislikes:
*Rice cereal, I think mommy is trying to poison me
*The camera flash, so I won't smile for mommy
*Being HOT! I am SUCH a joy to be around then
*Falling asleep in my bed, but I'm getting better at it
*Being held like a baby
*My saline drops to clear out my nose
*When I can't find my paci
He's been getting in this habit of waking up in the middle of the night now....1am, 3am, and 5am....wish he would stop. Draining since I fall asleep at 9:30-10 and have to wake up by 6. At least now since I'm not breastfeeding Wes can help. Interrupted sleep makes me crazy the next day.
Starting solid foods, so I'm excited to see how that affects him and his sleeping patterns. It only confirms more that my little boy is GROWING UP SO FAST!
He was an emotional roller coaster when taking pictures...I'm probably take more next weekend when he's not so sleepy

Results
So my ear issue is the same thing I had when I was a little kid. UGH!! My canal is so small that the wax builds up and a simple Qtip cant get it out....I have to have the doc use a suction to get it out...which HURTS! My ear is still trying to recoup. :-( He said I need to do it every month to prevent it. UGH!
I call my dad to tell him what was the problem, he goes oh yeah did I not tell you? We did for you when you were little. I probably should have told you......ugh YEAH! lol save me the trouble of thinking I'm going DEAF!
So I come home and find the cutest thing ever....AIDEN! Passed out like a big boy on the couch. My little Michelin man! I love his pacifier clip that he's wearing soo the truth..."Makin' Mischief"
Results from his doctor visit:
22 lbs 5 oz and 26 inches!
That's one BIG baby!!! The doctor was soo impressed about how he can stand up and push his head up when we placed him on his belly. So strong. She said as soon as he figures how to pick that belly up he's going to be off and crawling. My baby boy is growing up sooo fast!!! Sad.
He did good with the first two shots and the oral one, but those last two hurt. Poor little guy turned bright red and was SCREAMING! ah! As you can see his legs got in a fight with bandaids. :-)
However, we get to start him on Rice Cereal. Once a day for 2 weeks, then increase to 2-3 times a day and can integrate baby food then.
So today I tried the Rice Cereal. HILARIOUS! The facial expressions. My stupid cameras batteries were dead, so feeding 2 will be definitely recorded. However, over all he did pretty good. Ate about 10 bites and was over it by then.
Tomorrow is his big photoshoot. Yeah! :-) Ugh, I tried to put in his new carseat in my car...I gave up. Tomorrow I have to finish it....he's too big for his infant seat now.

4 month Doc Appt
Yah! Tomorrow is Aiden's 4 month appt. I get to see how much he's grown. So I'll update with his stats, info, and his 4 month pictures! Yah! Hopefully I can pull off some good pictures.
After that Mommy has to go to the doctor to get her ear checked. I can hear a little bit better, but I don't want to take any chances.
So thankful I have tomorrow off work! So So thankful!
My weekend will be full of cleaning and packing up all my breastpumping items. Mommy is done with that. Get to finally return to normal bras. Kinda sad, but I lasted a lot longer than I thought I would. So I'm proud of that. Maybe the doc will okay baby boy eating big boy food, because mommy totally stocked up the other day. lol
We have pears, peas, green beans, squash, carrots, bananas, apple sauce, pears, etc. Everything his little heart can desire. Oh thing that I was trying to get was Organic baby food. I feel like its important to eat organic. Only the best for him! Plus baby spoons and mixing bowls for his oatmeal and rice cereal. I can wait to do it...ohhhhh the pictures! :-)
Annoyed
Today is my Friday! Yeah!!
Some people annoy me so much it makes me want to scream! I could be a mean person and put them in their place like they deserve, but I hold my tongue.
However, one day I'm for sure they are going to catch me on a bad day and I will unleash. But for now I hold my tongue.
Just wish some people wouldn't act like they are in High School. You are in your mid twenties so stop being jealous and trying to top the next person. Your life is easy. REALIZE THAT, UGH!
I'm going to get some work done now. Just needed to vent. Goodbye

My ear!
This week hasn't been so bad. Still urgent things to do like always, but no overtime. Thank goodness!!
However, my issue this week and some of last week.....EAR ISSUES!!!! I can't hear out of my right ear. First it started off like it needed to pop. Nope, never went away. Now it kind of tingles. My coworkers suggested it might be allergies or an infection....so off I go to the Ears, Nose, Throat doctor.
So Friday is FULL of doctors appointments. Yeah! :-(
I hope it's nothing major. I did have major ear problems growing up though. As I say it's not that I'm not paying attention to you, it's I probably that I can't hear you. :-)
I remember growing up putting cotton in my ears when swimming. Totally sexy! I even had to go to the University of Alabama speech department and being pulled out of English classes in elem school to have hearing tests and speech classes. All because I couldn't hear certain letters. Soooo for example I would say "abbit" instead of "rabbit".
Yes, I'm special. lol And to this day I still have trouble saying certain words, so I avoid them. I hate ear issues....I pray Aiden doesn't go through it.

DIY Project 3 & 4
I finished the headboard and added a couple other projects today...yeah yeah. I was suppose to relax but I was stir crazy.
Tools:
Stapler
Glue Spray
Foam
Batting
Fabric
Old door
I first took all the hardware off the door and cleaned it. Then I used the Glue spray to attach the foam to the door before I stapled it. I had to do this because I couldn't find a wide enough piece of foam. I didn't want the two pieces to slide apart.
Next I covered the foam with batting to make it soft like a pillow.
Finally came the fabric. The leftover fabric I used to recover the vanity stool. Now everything matches. I love how the fabric goes perfect with the bedding and wall color. I kinda threw everything together so you can see.
Price rundown. Door-free. It was one of the doors previously in the house before we replaced them all. Foam, batting, and fabric-$110. Glue Spray-$3. I borrowed the staple gun with Wes' Dad, so no cost there.
Total-$113.
Not bad at all!!! All that matters is I like the way it turned out. :-)
Project 4
Do something with our old green faded mailbox. Since I didn't want to buy a brand new mailbox that would require removing the old one and installing the new one I turned to spray paint. The other option was more expensive and too time consuming.
I should have taken a before picture. But it was green and the flag was no longer red but white. Needless to say it looked worn and abused.
Supplies totaled $4. Maroon and Tan spray paint. I used some leftover painters tape to cover up the flag and numbers when I sprayed the tan.

Zombie
I am literally a walking zombie right now.
Work has been killing me. I don't know how they expect me to take care of three businesses all by myself after Roxane, my consultant leaves in November. AHHHHH! She's only been on vacation for a week, but it's been the LONGEST week ever.
Example for the past 2 days I have been working from 8am-1am! WTF!!!!!
It sucks that all 3 has CRITICAL aspects all at the same time of month...and of course all 3 had major issues this beginning of the month. Stand still issues. All everyone knows we are the beginning of the chain. If DP doesn't input their numbers nothing gets made, which means no money is made, which means everyone is always watching. UGH!
Literally, it was like the movie Swordfish when the guy had 5 minutes or whatever to hack into the FBI system with a gun to his head. That is what it felt like. I had 1 day to debug, re-code, re-populate and calculate everything. Along with my boss and the business checking in every hour. AHHH the stress. I'm so going to be getting some new lovely pimples. I can feel it coming.
I didn't even get to spend real time with Aiden last night. :-( Not cool at all. This weekend I had planned on doing stuff, but now that means I am either A. sleeping or B. playing with Aiden. NO WORK AT ALL FOR ME. Sorry house chores you will have to wait.
