Rain
Man, what a weekend for the Lambert household. Been pouring on us since Friday. One bad thing after another. I'll just be so ready for this week to be over, so I can have my toes in the sand and a drink in the hand. After this morning I was like, Dang I need a drink....then realized I have probably had a total of 4 in over a year. Oh how times have changed.
So Friday, we find out either Aiden as bronchitis or asthma. But since he was running a fever the beginning of last week she said it's more than likely bronchitis. Either way it was a VERY unpleasant doctor visit and I'm soooooo thankful both me and Wes were there. They did multiple test like checking his oxygen level, blood levels, the scary baby xray machine (which Wes witnessed for himself this time.), then.....it was time for the breathing treatment. OMG! OMG! OMG! It took 3 of us to do it. And after a minute of fighting him saying in a panic "How long do we have to go? Is it 10 minutes for real?!?!" As we all are breaking out in sweats including Aiden. It was awful and made me even more nervous for our attempts at home. But THANKFULLY he is much better with very little fight at home. I'll just be happy when these 3 weeks are over and hopefully never having to do this again. Breaks my heart to watch him, but I know it is making him better.
This is our new best friend...that I like to call Dora. haha bc it's a fish mask.
So Saturday, I was so looking forward to our cousin Ashley's wedding. Wes was going to film it too....well we apparently had a different plan. So we are all dolled up and looking sharp...then we head out. "Honey, what's that flapping noise" "Hmm, I dont know we should take it to the shop tomorrow." Then we pull up on the interstate. BANG POP BANG! OMG did the car just fall apart?! Nope. We blew a tire!! Luckily, after we called Wes' mom to inform her we werent going to make it TDOT showed up to help us change our tire. Praise the lord!! So we make it just as they are walking down.
So Sunday, we were getting up in the morning I always let Aiden watch Sprout TV while he's eating his cheerios so Mommy can get dressed. Well dang it....why isn't our NEW tv working. It's turning on, but nothings happening. So we reset our cable box. Nothing. Switch to the xbox. Nothing! OMG I'm again freaking out....unbelievable! Then we unplug everything and try again. AND WE HAVE POWER! Yah!!!!! Close one....however last night it was acting funny. Randomly turning off. The show would be on, but the sound wouldn't be working. When the TV was off random noises would be coming from it. UGH! Seriously NOT another thing.
Then that leads me to Monday. I got to Ford at 7:30am to get my tire looked at. Wait an hour to not only find out my tire is unrepairable, that they don't have one in stock and the earliest it could get there is tomorrow AM. WHAT! Internally, I'm freaking out once again...because driving on this spare tire is scarying me. I'm thinking the worst scenerios what if I get another nail in another tire and need a spare and OMG. the spare is on the other tire....what am I going to do then. I'm sure my blood pressure is through the roof. So I say okay I'll tell Wes to come tomorrow AM....then he tells me the price. 201!!! OMG is my tire made of gold?! lol So then I call around to make sure I'm not getting screwed. Well not only does no one have it in stock the Ford dealership was the best price the cheapest I found was 217. WEIRD! I think my tire is magical or something. I did get a good laugh though, everyone kept commenting how it was a very good tire and one of the best....and I'm like this is true until there is a nail involved. lololol I needed that.
So to end this post on a good note...always some good within the bad. On Friday, I got an interview for the job I applied for! It's on Wednesday. I'm not too nervous, because it's just talking about myself...but since there is one Lead Team manager in there kind of makes it a little nerve racking.
Now the BEST ending of all. Pictures of Aiden! He looked sooooooooo adorable in his outfit for the wedding. Everyone kept complimenting him and he would hide behind my leg. Silly boy!

Activity Wall
So I found this post and was like hey! This is along the same lines what I want to do!
ACTIVITY WALLThis is the main reason why I can't wait to change Aiden's room. I might even attempt this before we change him over....however that might be sooner than we think. WHY?! Well Aiden has started trying to climb. AHH! He wants to climb on the sofa and bed; climb out of the tub, pack'n'play, and crib. NOOOO! I have been dreading this day! I will not risk him hurting himself. He is growing up tooo fast. I will probably cry when we breakdown the crib, because then it will finally hit me.
Well there was my vision. Have a creative space for him in his room, since we have no playroom. A place where we can shut the door if company comes over. lol I imagined chalkboard, magnetic, and paper/dry erase. Nooo painting allowed. :)
He has this one wall that is perfect, between his closet and door. However there is a stupid return vent. Ugh....well I was thinking maybe putting a little desk in front of the vent to go with his new chair. That way against the wall I could do a little organizer for coloring books and crayons/pencils. Excuse my attempt of putting together my vision board. :)

Patterns
So I feel like all my pictures from the weekend are turning out to the the same. Playing in the front yard with the sprinkler. lol He loves to be outside so much, since it's 102 here like everyday now the sprinkler is a must!
Yesterday, I bathed Aiden in sunscreen, put on some Swimmers, whipped out his new swim trunks (Thanks Uncle Lane and Aunt Ashley) and headed out. We just sat underneath the water and splashed water in bowls. Then when we got tired of that he pushed our ride-on around the yard....and let me tell you I definitely know Aiden is my son. Good and the Bad. I witness his little temper. Ohhh goodness! As he was pushing his ride-on it would get stuck on sticks or Murphy's leash and he would get sooo mad that it wouldn't move forward. Oh goodness!
After that I would pick him up in the flying position and fly him into the sprinkler, causing him to laugh so hard while cooling him off. Adorable! Then we had a little snack of mandarin oranges on our table our neighbors gave us. We have such amazing neighbors! Once the snack was gone I gave him the water hose and you know what this silly boy did?! You know those videos on America's Funniest Videos where a kid puts their face in the water and make the HILARIOUS faces?! Yeah, that's what he did. I was dying! Then once he FINALLY moved it he put it down his pants causing his Swimmers to fill up making him waddle all funny. HILARIOUS! I wish I could have recorded it, but water and video camera don't mix. lol Totally a priceless day. This isn't Aiden, but this is kinda like what happened but just with the hose and not the sprinkler part...hahahaha
Needless to say he was one tired baby by the time we headed over to Gabby and Grande's for their weekly slumber party. Today, when he got home he was EXHAUSTED! Slept for 4 hours...and then rolled around in bed for 2. I was getting so worried about him sleeping so much, so I went in there to get him. Bad mistake! I've never heard him cry and fight like that before. He was not happy I got him out of his crib. OMG! Sorry Mommy will let you be...so I put him back in bed. Sleeping like an angel now. I think his cousins just wore him out! lol Two girls can do that to you. :)
Well off to watch my shows before bedtime. 2 more weeks till I get to see my family and head out for a week long vacation in Florida!!! I am beyond excited!!! Lane and Ashley will definitely get to see what having a baby is like since they are so awesome and letting us stay with them. :) Can't wait!!!

16 months
A little early but I have his stat since we went to the doctor yesterday. What a good visit that was until shot time came! Polio, Chicken Pox, Hib, and TB screening :( Poor little guy was SCREAMING and fighting soo hard. He almost kicked the lady in the head! Oops! So what happens while we wait for his doctor...A LOT!
Stats:
Height: 33 inches (We've grown!!)
Weight: 30.1 pounds
Back down to Size 4 diapers, because they fit better.
24M clothes (Like the stability in clothes!)
Milestones:
*Learned to maneuver his ride-ons to go around corners instead of going straight toward walls.
*Learned to put toys away....well let me clarify. If he see something always go back a certain way then he will practice. For example, my parents got him a toy toolbox, and he has learned those pieces go back in the container. He's learned to lift the lid and place them in and shut the lid. GOOD JOB!! Now if he could learn building blocks do not belong on the floor we would be GOLDEN! haha
*Practiced using a spoon for the first time and did great!
*Getting more independent if that is even possible when exploring new places.
*No new words...just only says Momma, but give him time and he will be a talking machine. I think he's just shy that's all.
Eating Pattern:
Definitely is getting picker by the day. We give him options and try to balance it as much as possible....but still I'm never happy. So morning it's fruit, yogurt, or cheerios. Lunch-whatever daycare provides and on weekends we eat sandwiches, chicken nuggets, crackers and deli meat. I try to push protein here. For dinner, either chicken nuggets if he didn't eat them for lunch and veggies and fruit. He tends to not eat much for dinner. Because dinner is normally around 6 and he's honestly too tired for it. 2 6 oz bottles of milk still.
Sleeping Pattern: 6:30pm to 7am....he has been sleeping in a lot lately. I think it's because he's growing. Tired little baby!
Likes:
*Animal crackers
*Sitting down in children's chairs. (He gets so proud and is like Mommy look at me!!)
*Throwing the ball to Murphy (Each day his throw gets further and further...I think we have a baseball player)
*Being held up in the air like he's flying
*Being outside...except now when we do he turns BRIGHT red because of the heat. So we come prepared with two sippy cups because he's a little drinker!
Dislikes:
*When he is having a Mommy craving and she doesn't pick me up immediately. Regardless if things are in her hand or not.
*When Mommy blocks me from going to see Daddy and Grande when they are burning limbs. I sit my butt down and pout.
*When water shoots him in the face from the sprinkler or when Daddy dumps water with no ease on my head in the bathtub.
So what happens by the end of the doc visit. Someone bumps their head on the stool because they are a clumsy baby like mommy and gets a Boo Boo. See the red spot? Like Mother Like Son. haha That's my boy alright!

Tractor Fun
These pictures were taken earlier this month, but better late than never! This was after Grande got his new lawn mower and Uncle Tyler took the kids around in the trailer part. Yes, he was going EXTREMELY slow and the blades weren't going. Don't freak! :-) Good quality fun with his cousins. Aiden loved it and sat still in amazement! So cute!!!
Memorial Weekend
Why does it seem like the long weekends go by the fastest...I was spoiled being home with my baby for so long. Tuesday was hard to return, but I did it!
Most the weekend we spent relaxing enjoying our time together, but I did squeeze in some holiday sale shopping. Perfect time to get Wes' father's day gift and some swim attire for myself and Wes. YAH!! How many days left?!?! Can I survive? This is a MUCH needed vacation! I just can't wait to see everyone! And I know Aiden is beyond excited too if he could tell me :-)
Monday we went over to Chris and Steve's house for a fish fry. Always love being around her family. And let me say this....Aiden loved it too! By the end of the day when we were eating my banana pudding he was going up to anyone who had a plate trying to get some. He loves him some banana pudding! Mommy did good! :-)
However, he is still SUCH a momma's boy! Kept following me everywhere! He doesn't get the concept of when I hand you to daddy that doesn't mean we are playing hide and seek. Because sure enough a few minutes later I will hear those little feet heading my way. And of course I'm a softy and give him a big hug everytime because how could you turn away that adorable face when he has his arms wide open and smiling while running to you. I just can't do it!
So I end with some picture we took before we left for the Yates. Aiden was over pictures by the time I took Wes'. "Let me down daddy, I'm outside!"
