Little crazy

So I might be a little crazy, but I just bought Brody's stocking. I had been stalking the internet since we found out we were pregnant trying to find the same Pottery Barn style as Aiden. (If I was smart I would have bought a second at the Outlet when I bought Aiden's, but I wasn't thinking of #2 then) It was really gonna bother me if they had two different styles....yes I'm weird but that's the truth.
Let me tell you finding a Telluride stocking is impossible! 1. PB doesn't sell the style anymore. 2. Everyone I found online already had a name on it. UGH! But after I was writing my post from the other day I just gave it another shot...and OMG there was one! And it will work for a boy!!! I would have loved to find the Santa, but I love penguins so it's just as good!
I was even contemplating getting Aiden another stocking if I couldn't find the same style. And yes, I'm kind of crazy but it's something that would have bothered me. But all is good and I did pretty good on it. $23 with shipping included!

Side Note: Which is upsetting....I was going to finish my other flowerbed this month...but with this 105 degree weather I'm a little afraid that whatever I plant will die!!! I'm already treating my hydrangeas like a baby and worrying about them constantly...What to do what to do!

Plotting

Now that we know the sex the planning begins. Work is picking up and my load from Sept-Oct is INSANE so I HAVE to get everything done/planned before then.

Hospital pictures outfit. We had Aiden in all white, mainly because being a new mommy I didn't realize the babies lose so much weight those 1st days. All the clothes we brought swallowed him, so we opted for the hospital white onesies. Which still turned out great! But this time we will be prepared. Live and learn right?! I didn't want to go with the typical baby blue outfit, because I feel like this kid is spunky (probably because they are rocking out in my belly 24/7 now) so I opted for this one...

Christmas. What are we going to do for Christmas...we will definitely have our hands fun with two little ones and me getting over surgery...so this Christmas is going to be low key. Not that much decor. Just need to move a few essentials in the attic close to the door before my belly gets to big. Stockings, Elf on the Shelf, and tree lights. Debating...do we want to hang ornaments or just have a light tree.....Decisions...

I want to reorganize our hallway frames, since we will be adding a lot more with the arrival of Brody. So get more frames, repair old holes, paint, and reposition. I really like the layouts below...the only issue I have is the dang thermostat right in the middle of the wall.
Speaking of thermostat I need to get the hubby to swap it out with the digital/programmable one (that we've been meaning to replace for about 6 months now. haha oops!) His honey-to-do list keeps growing, so I have to remind myself not to bombard him. hehe One thing at a time...But I found this blog on how to hide a thermostat and I'm really thinking about doing it. I love the knob handle.
I thought of something else that I want to do for Brody. Remember that AWESOME "A" I got for Aiden?! Well I want to get one for Brody. My goal is to eventually put them in the same room, so that would be so cute over their beds. Since Aiden's is yellow I was thinking lime for Brody.
Then I thought of the perfect stocking stuffer for Brody. haha yes Christmas, it's another thing that is a MUST and I was going to get one anyway so why not make it have a purpose?! Smart momma! Well it's another thing Aiden has that I love. And Aiden loves it too...he will play with it before bed and when he wakes up. He thinks it's hilarious how the light turns off when he touches it. His Giimmo dino nightlight! I'm thinking either the Hedgehog or Schnauzer...whichever one I can get cheaper is the one! haha
Aiden update: Today was his 1st day at preschool with underwear on! EEEKK! His teacher felt he was ready to get out of pull ups (my bank account was happy...we were going through them faster than diapers and they are EXPENSIVE!)! So needless to say he's got 20 undies at school, 10 outfits, and 2 pairs of shoes there....I see lots of laundry in my future. But heck if this gets him to be a pro by November I am ALL for it!! I def don't want to be changing two butts.

This weekend I will have to record him saying animal sounds. It's HILARIOUS! He has dog and cat down perfect. but still learning the others...but I crack up every time he says Meow! He just gets cuter and cuter each day! Just amazes me how much he is picking up since turning 2.

This weekend is a busy one for the Lamberts. We are hosting my friends baby shower on Saturday. Trying to stay cool from the 100 degree weather, and Sunday I've got to clean out Brody's closet so we can install the closet organizer. (serves as storage for all my craft supplies.....which I have to find a new home for....UGH!)

Sorry for the random post.

Preparing

Thanks Gifts to Grow! I just got Aiden a Christmas present for nothing!! Haha yes...I am starting Christmas shopping...This year we will have a newborn and Mommy will be drained and tired, so I've got to get everything done and bought before the little one arrives. Now with 2 kids the budget isn't as large as with just Aiden, but trust me they are severely blessed kids!!

Brody was easy! I didn't want to get a lot because hello he is an infant. So remember Aiden's 1st Christmas gift from my parents...a denim Pottery Barn Anywhere chair. Well it's getting recycled since I purchased a red cover for his room (the denim blended in with the Navy walls). I found where you can get the foam inserts cheap online like $35 bucks (same place I bought the red cover). Score! It will look perfect in their room too with the tan walls.
The other gift is a necessity. Daycare backpack. And to match their big brother who's got the monkey in both a backpack and lunchbox we will pick a different animal. I just love Skip Hop Zoo, can't get anymore adorable and HELLO cheap! I can get it for around $16. Aiden gets compliments on it everyday just about.

I just love their new animal, Hippo. Can't get any cuter!! Perfect for a little boy! I'll get the lunchbox later when it's needed.
Then for the stocking....I would love to find one that is in the same family as Aiden's, but I'll probably have to settle on a different Pottery Barn Kids pattern.

Aiden is the difficult one. What do get this kid....he has everything! I did get him another set to his Thomas the Train Pirate Cove after Christmas last year on super clearance. $160 on Amazon. I paid $44.
Aiden's FREE gift! Melissa & Doug Deluxe 10-Piece Magnetic Fishing Game (he got a car one last year from my sister MIL and when I saw this on the rewards I was sold!)

Still thinking of Aiden's "big" gift....maybe an easel? He loves to color. Decisions! Then I still have to think of what to get Bella and Carlos too....

Soccer Pictures

Post 3 of the day!
I finally got Aiden's soccer pictures. Not sure if I posted about this but silly me filled out the form, the entire check...but did I sign it?! haha NO! Oops! At least I got them mailed once I signed it. hahaha

Let me say it was hard to get him to stand still on this VERY hot day! (I was sweating just standing there)...all these people staring at him was scary so he wanted to stand next to Mommy. Handsome boy!
The group picture was a different story. lol Getting five 3 almost 4 year olds and one 2.5 year old to stand together and sit still was IMPOSSIBLE! We bribed with M&Ms! haha As you can see Aiden has finished his and is wanting another one. hahaha
Aiden learned so much this season and will kick on command now. Maybe next year he will play more in the games!

It's a ......

BOY!!!!!

I kind of thought it was a boy the whole time...but then some days I felt like it was a girl because everything is sooo different than with Aiden. Carrying much higher, sick sick sick, and my skin has taken a turn for the worst.

Either way we are REALLY excited! One healthy baby progressing right on track, maybe this one won't be as big as Aiden. It was funny he kept on flashing his manhood to us the whole time while our tech was trying to measure other parts. Lol Just like Aiden he is proud to be a little boy!

So...what's the name???!!!

I must be honest there was a part of me that was dying to have another boy because I just LOVE the name Brody! My top names were Brody and Liam..and well Liam sounds horrible with Lambert. lol

Then there is the fact I kept all of Aiden's clothes, so all I need for this one is some cute Christmas pjs since Aiden wasn't around then. Then there is the fact eventually I can put them in the same room and use the other room for a play room. Then there are sports. etc. etc. etc. so clearly for selfish reasons I wanted a boy :-) But we would have loved to have a little girl too...Wes is still trying to convince me to go for 3 but I'm standing that ground strong. I'm pretty confident that I am a boy producing machine as I told my doctor. lol

How we told everyone....I texted my siblings, called my parents, and told a few of my dear friends. The rest are finding out now. :-) Wes called his mom and told her it's a healthy baby. haha cruel I know...but since we aren't having a true gender reveal party...we couldn't survive till the weekend with that kind of info. We at least wanted to surprise Wes' parents. I found this cute idea to put the color icing inside cupcakes and that is exactly what we did. Made it fun! Wish we could have done that with everyone though!

Beach

I've been saying for about a week now I was going to post about this, so here we go.

All last week we were in Santa Rosa, FL with my family. Man did we have great weather and a great time! Can't believe when we come down next year there will be 4 of us!

It was so nice to escape work but after checking my email on Monday apparently all hell broke loose. Pure panic and SOO many email chains. Therefore I spent all Monday calming everyone down...putting fires out.

But back to our trip. The drive wasn't too bad because we stopped in Birmingham to sleep. Other good investment, a portable DVD player. Little man sat and watched Cars for about 2 hours then passed out for 2 hours....perfect for our 4 hour drives. (I was really worried, he's not a fan of long trips anymore. Plus I would have heard "Car! Car! Car!" the whole time. lol)

The first couple of days he would just cry and cry as soon as we would hit the soft sand and if sand got on his hands and feet he was NOT happy! But he got used to it, he really thought it was fun to throw sand on everyone. And LOVED destroying sandcastles! We even captured a few pouts and meltdowns....not a true day if we didn't capture that :-)
He absolutely loved the water this year! Constantly saying "Wa Wa" and pointing. Too bad we had red flags all week or we would have gone in real deep, but none the less he enjoyed the waves hitting him. Thankfully there were puddles in the sand and a run-off for Little man to enjoy. It was like a bath for him. Nothing was better than to see him running down the beach just splashing about.
He's totally rocking a farmers tan now!

Mad these pictures are blurry. Took them on our walk down the beach. My lens kept fogging up. Oh well they still are quite cute!
We didn't eat out much but the places we did go to were so YUMMY! Cafe 30A (a must), Elmo's (Aiden enjoyed running around), and Bud & Alleys (mine and Wes' date lunch.)
But the best part of the trip was to see Aiden interact with everyone. Been about a year since he'd seen my brother and his wife, and since Thanksgiving since he'd seen my sister and her hubby. And will probably be another year till he sees them again since we won't be going anywhere for the holidays this year due to the new arrival, which really upsets me but nothing I can do. His favorite phrases of the week were "Puppies!" (Everyone but us had their dog at the house. He LOVED that! Not too sure the dogs loved it as much.) and "Where he'd go?....Right there" (if anyone left the room he would say that and go on a hunt to find them.)

The last night we were there we headed to Harbor Docks for an airplane and firework show. This was the 1st time Aiden had seen fireworks, and did he love them. "Ohhhhhhhh Ahhhhhhh Whhhhooooa!" then his shocked noise that I can't really type you just have to hear it. Oh and did I mention that we seriously changed a diaper in 2 seconds. We had his bathing suit and Swimmers on....well he pee'd alot. So much it was dripping down his leg. The bad mommy I am forgot to pack shorts so he watched the show in a diaper, crocs, and a tshirt.

It was such a great trip I just hated to leave, hence why it took me 2 days to unpack. Denial. lol

I'm back

Sorry I've been MIA. I've been EXTREMELY busy. I'll post more about it tomorrow and lots of pictures!!!

Today it too hectic at work. My email box and voicemail are about to explode. 1 week off and I'm swamped....

But other exciting news....in 1 week we find out what the peanut is!!!!! EKKKK!! We can't wait! I just want to be able to stop calling them an "IT" and put a name there!
