Kid's Photoshoot 2012

Last weekend we headed over to Gabby's house so she could take her annual grandkid picture. Each year it gets more interesting. Just check out previous years.

2010 Now we have a 9 yr old, two 4 yr olds, two 2 yr olds, and a less than 1 mo old. Can you say crazy?! However it was quite entertaining if you want to call it that, but that's life right. Can't expect every kid to look at the camera (seemed it was Aiden this time that wanted nothing to do with it) I really hope he's better this weekend when I take our card pictures.

Bath

Brody's first bath went off great! If I haven't mentioned before lol he is SO different than Aiden. Actually easier. Aiden to this day isn't a fan of baths. He enjoys playing in them but despises the part that involves washing his hair. However, Brody was soaking in every moment. Guess he is my child, because nothing is better than a warm bath!! The only time he cried was when I picked him up. Night and Day!

 

North Pole Breakfast 2012

Well sorry for the delay but I've had my hands full. Daddy was off on Monday so I enjoyed time with him, and then Aiden was running a fever Tuesday (sinus infection) so he was home with me through yesterday. Therefore, this is my first just ME time. (I've been busy updating both boys baby albums and ordering pictures.) (Look for a couple posts today)

Our Elf arrived Dec 1st, but since this week has been SO crazy his hiding spots have not been creative and some days he forgot to move. haha (BAD MOMMY!) However, the breakfast was a success! Aiden came up with a name...."Baby Elephant"...but I will see if it sticks. Every day I asked him and it's either "Baby Elephant" or "Boy". hahaha Don't think we should call him "Boy".

 I didn't setup a placemat for Brody, because let's face it all he was getting was milk. lol But Aiden got snowman donuts, christmas tree cookies, and chocolate milk topped with cool whip and peppermint sprinkles. (Spoiled much)

Each year the Elf brings a card and gift. This year the boys got pjs and socks. Aiden was lucky this year and got to open both gifts.

Doctor

Brody's 1st doctor visit went well. After a week he's almost back up to his birth weight. Weighed 9lb 3oz....but honestly I feel like he's smaller. We left the hospital wearing Newborn diapers and clothes and already wearing size 1 diapers and 3mo clothes. So I know he's gaining just feels so tiny after holding Aiden lol.

Our pediatrician was SO impressed how strong he already is. When he kicks its so powerful! And when you burp him he can already hold his head up. Most newborns have no control. I love it because he will lean his head off my shoulder to just look at me. Love it!

Brody really is a great baby! (I know every momma says that, but it's true) He is not fussy at all. Only gets excited when he's hungry but we are already pretty much on a schedule. Which I love! I remember with Aiden he would get PISSED when his diaper was dirty...Brody not so much. So I'm constantly having to check because I wouldn't know otherwise...however he does have some narly farts (just like his daddy lol).

The only thing I'm waiting on right now is for his jaundice to go away so we can take some pictures. His level is 11, which is low and safe but I'd rather the yellow tone be gone. Need to take some brother pictures for our Christmas card.

Two week doctor appointment. Stat weight 10 lbs. 7oz. and links 22 inches. The goal was to be back at birthweight, but he exceeded on both marks. Look how much he grew......an inch and a half!! On a funny note my pediatrician calls my breast milk miracle grow just for that reason. And apparently being able to pump 5ounces on each side is pretty rare too.

Since about day 3 we've been battling baby acne and a rash on his face and we finally figured out the culprit. Brody just has really sensitive skin which means new laundry detergent and special baby wash. I can't use Johnson & Johnson and every single person's clothes has to be washed in the new laundry detergent. After just one day of switching it's practically gone I'm so impressed!!!!

The detergent is Tide free and gentle. And the full body wash is Eucerin Aquaphor Baby Gentle Wash.
