Minimal

Instead of the typical "weight lost" New Years resolution I'm extended it. I want to try to live a minimal life. That means declutter, reduce, and say no.

There is so much I have that I truly do not need. Do I really need 4 different size bowls, or 20+ shirts, or junk food?! Answer is NO! So I'm going to work on all of that this year. Just say NO!

I wish I could reduce my closet at the moment but I can't. On the road of losing baby weight. Ugh today I put on my first pair of non elastic pants and totally depressed. Def not back at pre baby weight. So I bought one pair of pants and a skirt today as motivation to not stay at this size. I'm giving myself a year and whatever doesn't fit after a year is GONE! Pure motivation.

Next becomes the battle of the house. I'm gonna go through each room and reduce starting with the kitchen. There is so much I never use and honestly probably won't ever use.

So I started with the boys since the big consignment sale is approaching. I went through all Aiden's old clothes, old toys, books, and pulled out clothes that Brody won't ever get to wear (season issues). Ended up with soo much! And still have 4 full tubs in Brody's closet.

Privacy

Well the bathroom is longer a private place in our house. Forget about pottying by myself without 1000 of questions.

Now it's bath time. I've been feeling under the weather for a couple days and nothing is better than a warm soaking bath. So after I feed Brody I put him in his swing to nap and turn on Curious George in our room. That way I'm close but not too close. Well..........Aiden has a different plan. As soon as I'm in take that first deep sigh I see him peek in the room. Before I know it his clothes are off, he's in the tub, with ALL his bath toys! Relaxing huh?! Mind you he just had his bath maybe 30 minutes ago. Sigh guess I shouldn't attempt that with no Daddy home.

Speaking of sick I think my sinus infection is now a 24hr stomach bug. Soo nauseous!! And I've gotten daddy sick i hope I don't get the boys sick.

Fakers

Both our boys are little fakers!

Aiden will fake cry when he has tickle fights with daddy just to get free. Quite funny, because as soon as he's free he yells out "here comes the Cookie Monster" and proceeds to jump on Wes. Lol so silly.

Then we come to Brody. He is such an easy baby! (His fav game to play is to kick off the covers, laugh, and repeat) Guess the saying is right, hard pregnancy easy newborn. He rarely is fussy and knows how to fake cry to get his way. Let me explain if he's awake he better hear or see you or he will start fake crying till you pick him up. Immediate silence and he's looking around. Quite funny bc sometimes you will catch him smile.

Aiden has thoroughly surprised me how good he is with Brody. He adores holding him. And is always concerned and understands he has to wait if mommy is tending to the little guy. So when I do have those single moments with him, I hold him a little tighter, kiss him a little more, and play a little harder.
