Nursery Reveal

Post 2 of the day. I just realized I've never posted Brody's room finished.
As you walk in the room. Door leads you out to the deck (hence why this will eventually be a playroom.) Stole my Dad's favorite chair (haha jk I asked for it)....so comfy you melt in it.

My tree limb/free artwork. I was going to hang them individually on the wall, but 1 I was afraid they would fall down and 2 that's alot of holes in the wall so I just attached them to a canvas board instead.

My other free artwork I found online and put in these frames I got on clearance awhile back. The says are hilarious.

Gabby got this artwork for the little man at a local art show. It's painted on a piece of wood.

The crib. Aiden's old crib painted yellow. New crib sheet and blanket (learned from Aiden that bumpers are the devil! haha) Made the crib skirt to conceal the Jumperoo and storage box for outgrown clothes).

The artwork. Mom made the cross stitch when my brother was a baby. The bird cage print is actually scrapbook paper. The deer print I got a consignment sale for $3.

The round artwork was a thrift store find. The ABC artwork I made. The lamp was recycled from our room when we got new lamps. The diaper chubby was Aiden's. Notice the chair?! Aiden likes to assist me on diaper changes by handing me diapers and kissing Brody. (Good brother!) The fox bin is the clothes hamper for now, but when this room becomes the play room it will store blankets and pillows.

The tree (love staring it when I'm in here.). Hides my monitor camera shelf.

Just love his nursery. Doesn't scream baby

Room Makeover

As I mentioned before the boys will eventually be in the same room and Brody's nursery will be the playroom. I was on the hunt for another bed spread like Aiden's, pottery barn Kasey in Navy. Well Aiden took care of that issue. Back when he was sick and antibiotics his tummy was very upset aka several blow outs. Not something you want to wake up to.

I tried everything and the stains won't come out. But I did get the blanket to faded a little but the stain still there. Soo annoying! That set wasn't cheap and now it's ruined. I know it's clean but the brownish orange stain isn't a pretty sight.

I learned my lesson. Not to buy a "nice" set until they are out of pull-ups. And fully potty trained. (We haven't attempted to train Aiden yet with night pottying.)

So I found the perfect replacement at Target that's very cute!! And doesn't break the bank! Thanks to $20 gift cards, just for buying the necessary diapers during a promotion made it even cheaper. Now I have 2 and matching sheets too. I had previously gotten these sheets for $9 on clearance at the store awhile back then I noticed they were marked down to $7 online so I swooped up a set for Brody.
They got new bedskirts too. It was marked down half off so I swooped two up for the price of one.

Each boy will get their own pillow....don't you just love it!??! Another Etsy find! Very reasonable $25 considering I got to customize every piece of it.
Now for personality. The boys will get their own fleece tied blanket. Of course Aiden chose Curious George. And of course you can't find it in the store. And of course it was way pricier than what you can find in Hancocks but I let him have it since it was his only input in the room and it was his birthday present. Plus it's way cute!

They even got new curtains too. Aiden helped pick them out and did a really good job.

You might notice his name is gone from above his bed...well he played with them one to many times and they were coming out of the wall. How can a kid resist playing with something dangling right over their face...so I'm working on that wall, which I'm SOO excited about and Bama fans will appreciate ;-) I also had to relocate his toy bin since the bed rail is off. Don't want him to bust his head wide open if he ever falls off the bed.

So it was a mini room makeover and quite a good birthday present. He was SOO excited when I revealed it to him a few weeks ago. Actually wants to get in bed now. lol Let's see how long the excitement lasts....

Valentines

Normally I would just get my guys a cupcake for Valentines, but I don't want sweets in the house (trying to lose this baby weight....down 30!) So I got the boys a little gift instead.

Aiden
(Time for new bath toys...I feel like his squirters are housing water after use---bacteria, yuck, paranoid!)

Brody
(LOOVE his gift!! Perfect for daycare, since it will be easy to recognize)
Me and Wes don't buy gifts for each other. I'd rather have a nice date night instead. So his next weekend off quality adult time! Ekk can't wait! As much as I love my boys I love my time with just the hubby!
--------------------------------------
Random note: Not everyone experiences this, but during pregnancy your can feet grow...and dang it mine did this time! I feel like they are wider! NOO! I already had enough issues with my wide feet! Well as I returned to work I noticed my flats were rubbing and felt different...so I was on the hunt for some new ones.

Guess who now sells WIDE shoes?! Payless! My feet are rejoicing! I've never had shoes that feel this comfortable! And right now they are running their BOGO 50% off, so I got 2 pairs! Wes thought I was crazy for being so excited, but then when I told him happy feet = less foot rubs he was excited! lol

And I also had to buy new running shoes too. Seriously a whole 1/2 size bigger! That was kind of depressing. Big Foot! haha Thankfully I can always count on New Balance to support my wide foot needs. Dicks didn't have the color I wanted in my size, so I had to order them online (story of my life). Can't wait for them to get here this weekend, so my feet wont throb after each workout!
 --------------------------------------
New baby= new pictures= hallway makeover. I've been working hard on this project and it's coming together great! I found all the frames at Hobby Lobby. They are having a 50% sale on wall frames.

There are 3 big wall spaces to cover. I've hung and finished 1 side. You see this as you walk in the front door. I love the canvas print. Inspiration for everything. My "L" canvas was a bust. I wanted the background to be gray and yellow chevron. Haha well my painting/ taping skills stink and we had major bleeding issues. The number print is birthdays (0903-Wes 0503-Me 0205-Aiden and 1112-Brody. The 09 in the middle is the year we got married). That too was a bust. haha I am horrible painting with stencils, so I had to repaint it white/gray and freehand it.
Now for the big blank canvas.
I'm dividing it in half since the thermostat is dead center. I'll tackle around that when I have the sides done. Each side will be for a boy and I've got the layout and art already picked out. (My Paint skills are awesome!! hahaha) Thanks to Mrs. Gamble for the cute hand foot angel idea...just have to execute it now! Brody's side will be bare for awhile, but soon it will build up like Aiden's.

The Party

I can't believe Aiden will be 3 tomorrow!! Growing up WAAAAY to fast! Well this past weekend was the birthday party since Daddy was off work. It was a fun weekend but lots going on!
Theme: Toy Story. All week Aiden was helping me prepare for it by cutting cookies, coloring pictures, etc. Everything I did I got the question..."Is that for my birthday party?!" Quite cute! And after I picked up the balloons on Friday he was SOOOO excited!! It was impossible to get him down that night.
It was probably the easiest party because I didn't have that much work involved. Bouncy house check. Pizzas ordered check. Luckily I didn't have to set up tables and chairs either because the church was having a baby shower there tomorrow. My mom and sister didn't get the decorations (Aiden's stuffed Woody, Buzz, and Rexy in boxes labelled "Attic", "Sunnyville", and "College"....but if you've seen the 3rd movie it makes sense). lol They get to watch non-Disney non-kid movies. ;-)

We tried to get some pictures before everyone showed up, but all Aiden wanted to do was jump. Oh well! It's his day, so I'll let him get away with it. Brody was an angel like always and got some lovin from everybody too!
This little guy was blessed so much by our friends and family! He has already enjoyed playing with every gift except the outside toys. He especially loves his new hiding spots! Forget blanket forts when you have Spiderman and the Avengers! Even asked to sleep in there on Saturday night. lol Sunday he wanted to turn into a Bear (new slippers) and chase me around the house. Such a nut!
Doing what he does best. Jumping and being WILD! Poor William got chased by all the little boys!

Even little Ryan got to bounce too! Wore him self out! "Must stay awake!"
Now the real fun. Cake time! He was so embarrassed when we were singing to him, covered his face the whole time. Then he decided to use his candle to help him eat the cake (talk about time consuming)! So me and my sister decided to get him all messy....well he did NOT like that one bit! Started to cry and threw a fit on the floor. haha But we got a good laugh out of it!

This little guy was worn out from the party and took an extra long nap. Oh and did I mention for the past 2 nights Brody has been sleeping through the night?!??!!??!! YAH BUDDY KEEP IT UP! We used to have a 1am feeding, but now he can hold over from the 9pm feeding to the 5am feeding! (More sleep for mommy!!!) The first night I was kind of in a panic when I woke up....did he wake up? Did I feed him and not remember?! Did Wes feed him?! So used to the other schedule it kind of freaked me out when it was changed.
