Zoo Boo 2012

Aiden had a great time at Zoo Boo with his grandparents and cousins! He got to rode on the rides and the haunted hayride, and ate lots of candy (evidence left at the bottom of the wagon). lol So glad he got to go since I couldn't take him (wonderful grandparents!). Can't wait for next year!
Gabby's cute Fall picture setup. I have to take Aiden over there this week and get some photos.
Sunday I was a lazy butt ALL day!! I slept so bad and Aiden woke up at 5:30am and took over my couch. Literally! I had 1 cushion. He had 2! And I'm like 5 times larger than him....how the heck did that happen?! lol When we got up again later about 9am I spent all morning trying to catch my breathe. Brody must have been laying right on my lung because it was a struggle. Luckily Daddy was to the rescue and preoccupied Aiden all day because I was in and out on the couch. 14 more days!!!
-----------------------------
Other news my good friend Erica got engaged this weekend!!! YAHH!!!! So happy for her and Jared, sweetest people ever! All I have to say is best carving skills ever! haha It would take me 6 tries to make it look like that. Now I just need the engagement gift I ordered earlier in the month to get here! Ugh....it was on backorder and then got pushed back from the 19th to the 1st, so it better ship this Thursday!

Pumpkin

Aiden had a fun week at school. Wednesday he got to paint his pumpkin, which he was SOOO proud of. It's a "SPIDERMAN pumpkin" according to him. lol Thank goodness he explained it because I was thinking more Smurf.
Thursday we were busy baking cooking for his Fall Festival on Friday. Let's just say I'm not a baker. I always either burn or over bake the 1st batch of cookies. I was excited to use my candy corn cookie cutter. Yes I even colored the sugar dough (fancy huh!) I rolled out the dough and Aiden placed the cookie cutter down. Team effort! Since I knew the 1st batch would fail I told Aiden and Wes they could have one from it. Place Aiden in his seat, give him a cookie and then I hear "Ouch! Hard" as he proceeds to bang it on the tray (and the cookie doesn't break!) hahaha Just a little overcooked! But they turned out cute...
Also on Thursday I had my 2nd to last doc visit with my high risk OBGYN. YAH! He gave the final word. Brody is arriving Nov 12th no need to take him any earlier....good news but that's a long way away! lol I'm scheduled to go in at 7:30am...much better than the 6:30am time with Aiden.

My fluid level decreased 1cm. He was weighing 8lb 14oz...right on track to weigh the same as Aiden (9lb 10oz). Now knowing all that you can assume I'm uncomfortable. Very! My SPD occurs daily and pretty consistent. Wes is really having to do alot now with Aiden and I'm so thankful Aiden is becoming a daddy's boy! It used to only hurt when I was moving a lot, now I can be just sitting and I get painful stings down there. Contractions are nothing compared to SPD because they come and go. SPD is constant and you use your pelvic region for SOO many things!! I used to be able to take baths to relieve the pressure....doesn't work any more. Literally I've been taking 3 baths every night and barely feel any relief.

This week has also brought on the sleeping on the couch full-time too. If I lay flat the pressure gets so bad and I can barely breath, so I just avoid it all. So there I am sitting upright with literally 4 pillows behind me and 2 under my feet every night. So you see why Nov 12th is so far away?!?! lol Just thankful on those really bad days I have the ability to work from home. Love my job!
--------------------------------------
Friday when me and Aiden woke up it was pouring outside and since I slept HORRIBLE I decided there was no way I could make the drive in without looking like death. Man am I glad I did because when I went out to my car at 5pm to go pick him up.....crank nothing. crank nothing! NOOOO my car wouldn't start!! So Daddy was to the rescue and picked up the little man. Thankfully my battery just needed to be replaced. One thing I will say about my car is I def don't have a lemon. Knock on wood I've only had two issues on it battery and a broken sunroof in 2 years considering I just broke 60K miles on it. (Did I mention I drive at least 60 miles a day?!) So glad it keeps me and my munchkins safe. Love my Fusion!
--------------------------------------
Last night I slept bad again (imagine that right?!) because of an active little fella! But I still woke up early. Man have I been productive too!! Did a deep cleaning on my oven, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher all while sitting down. haha Then me and Aiden met up with Gabby and Grande and all the kids (Lily and Harlee Aiden's nieces spent the night) at Chickfila to get some grub and let the kids blow off some steam. It's FREEZING outside so forget playing outside. (I definitely need to find some mittens and a hat for Aiden now) Then after playtime Aiden headed to their house for brownies and I went to Lowes. Needed to get some mulch and some mums. Wouldn't you know it all the yellow ones were gone. Ugh!

After I exchanged the potted flowers, I swept the sidewalk and knocked down all the spiderwebs. (yuck!) Then I picked up a few pine cones from the yard and grabbed some spray paint to add a little fun in the pots. Lastly I painted our big pumpkins. We were going to carve them last night but with the dead battery event it was too dark, late, and cold to do that. Love the way my door looks!! (Still need to hang my wreath) A happy fall look!

Aiden just left us again because Gabby and Grande are taking him to Zoo Boo. So thankful, because I'm in no condition to do all that walking. He will have a blast and looks precious! My little lion! We had a mini photo shoot in the yard chasing Murph before they got here.

Holiday Project

Aiden's school fundraiser this year was cookie dough, so I was all over a tub of Sugar cookies. Just one less thing to do. haha (lazy much) It will make our Christmas cookie making time extra fun and all the extra cookies are going to our neighbors (def don't want a ton of them in the house).

I'm going to invite over Bella and Carlos to help out and make mini "party" out of it. Only thing I will need to get is icing since I always buy sprinkles after Christmas. Seriously why are the cute sprinkles so expensive?! I found the cutest idea to do for the kids...aprons. But why are the Christmas ones always sooo expensive?! I just can't justify spending that kinda money, even if they are used every year it's only 1 day. So backup plan make them! Perfect!!
Aren't those CUTE?!?! I'll be spending the next 3 weeks getting the supplies using handy dandy coupons, glad the stores are on my way home so I don't have to go out of my way.
Supplies
4 kid aprons- $4.99 each
brown paint- zero (already have)
paint pen- zero (already have)
3 rolls of ribbon (red, green, white)- hopefully $.99 each
12 buttons
Bella's ginger"woman" bow-I might paint this on if I can't find a cute cheap bow. Dollar Tree maybe?!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a different note I wanted to comment about Aiden's sleeping. We are still struggling to get him to go to bed in his bed (wants to fall asleep in our bed or on the couch with me). The devil child is gone, but now he's figured out when he coughs really bad that we go and check on him. So what does he do.....he sticks his hands in his mouth to make him cough/gag. REALLY?! We watch him from the monitor do this.

Then when he does fall asleep he will wake up like 15 minutes later in a panic, all confused, and shaking. When Wes goes in there to comfort him he holds on for dear life.  So Wes brings him in our room till he's calm to only carry him back when he's asleep (talk about exhausting). A pattern we are trying to break, but it's hard to deny him when he's literally shaking and you just want to comfort him.

This doesn't happen every night, but it seems to happen on the days we want peaceful sleep. Don't you just hate that?! We can't figure out what's going on...is he afraid (so we leave the lamp light on)...is he cold? hot?....etc. Quite frustrating since this started about a month ago out of the blue. I want my good sleeper back. Luckily Daddy has become the bedtime enforcer so if I mention "Do you want me to get Daddy???!!" makes him straighten up and at least cry in bed. lol I feel bad but when I spank him it's not the same when Daddy does it. But I'm so thankful that the statement works, because picking him off the ground when hes sprawled out throwing a fit screaming "No bedtime!" is not an option right now. There is no way I would be able to stand up with that additional 40 lbs on my back.

I'm just hoping we can figure something out soon...

Harvest Festival

Let me first start off and say don't let his cute face fool you. Today we had more meltdowns than happy times. Lots of spanking and talking in a strong voice. And being this pregnant just plain ole wore me out....we got home after 2pm and we both slept till 6pm. (My internal Bama clock must have been on. lol) But in the end he did have fun just doesn't understand the concept of lines and waiting our turn just yet....hard to explain to a 2 year old that just wants to go in the bouncy house asap.
I wanted to take our pumpkin pictures before we started anything else...well Aiden was NOT about that. He wanted nothing to do with sitting in the setups (which were so cute) or listen to mommy he just wanted to run around like a wild man. We tried....so this was the best I could do without making him go into a full meltdown mode. While everyone else was getting cute shots I took him down to the animals to turn around his attitude.
This year's petting zoo wasn't as good as last year. Less animals and less contact, but Aiden still loved it. Even splurged and got some food so he could interact closer and brightened him right up!
Once the food was gone we headed over to paint a pumpkin so it would dry before it was time to go. This sweet little kid said "Momma I wanna paint Brody one." Awww it was sweet! That turned around my attitude lol (I was already on my last nerve by that point...being this pregnant and not being able to move fast has made my patience level micro small)
Then we hooked back up with Gabby and Carlos. She stood in the HOUR long face painting line while I took the boys to the bouncy house. Meltdown #2 occurred when it was time to get out. He just didn't want to get out no matter what I said to him. Once he did oh buddy you better believe I got his butt. Once he apologized we headed over for the free cotton candy. Can you believe this kid doesn't like cotton candy?!?! We continued to wait for the face painting....and lets say I was getting SUPER tired of standing. (Better be the best face painting EVER! lol) He just wanted to be "SPIDERMAN!" so we opted for a spider which was touched 2 seconds after they were done. But it was quite cute and he did a good job holding his head still. And wouldn't you know he had to pee right before his turn....sprinted to the bathroom and back so he wouldn't lose his place.
After that everyone was thirsty, so we took a timeout for a drink and popcorn. Meltdown #3 because I wanted to take a picture of his face. Then my breaking point was reached....This crazy kid licked, LICKED!, an extension cord and the concrete!!! I was sitting down on the floor and def could not get up and Aiden was def NOT listening. I got SO SO mad at him. A few not nice words flew out and serious butt whipping. Meltdown #4. (So sick!!) Then he finally straightened out so we went to go ride on the hayride, but I was ready to go by this point. I was so tired, my feet were hurting, Brody was kicking like crazy, and I was mad hungry (after 12 and I ate breakfast around 7). But Aiden REALLY wanted to see the tractor so I was pushing myself.
So we get on the hayride and I get it. A smiling happy picture!! HALLELUJAH! He loves him some tractors. Then about 3/4 of the way I hear the dreaded words "Momma I have to pee." OH GOODNESS! And wouldn't you know it as we are making the turn to get off he pees. A LOT! Think it's time to go. He's upset because he peed and he's ready for a nap so Meltdown #5. Then as we are leaving he just wanted to go to car, not paying attention to moving cars. I stop him Meltdown #6. YUP def time to go home! Brody was kicking so much (probably because he was starving too about 2pm by this point) and the pressure on my back and pelvic region were about to bring me to tears.
But in the end I would consider it a semi-good day. Just glad this is the last adventure before Brody. Not sure I can do it again....especially being so sleep deprived by taking care of a sick baby all during the week. Really looking forward to girls day tomorrow. I'm so ready to pamper myself!!
