Bathroom Organized

Post 2 of 3 of the day.
This baby is done!

Everything has a home and there won't be anymore of "Do we have extra shampoo?" "Dang it! I thought we had extra toothpaste!" haha My bins probably won't work for everyone but they work for me. I know whats in what. I even don't think I've posted since we put up the extra cabinet too...so double post!

Upper Cabinet Goodies.
  • Extra TP
  • Our thousands of lotions. haha but we use them all. (Different lotions for different body parts, and some for different seasons.)
  • Hair products
  • Nail products
  • My makeup and brushes
  • Then some randoms....lint brush, fabric shaver, glasses cleaner
  • In the bins. (LOVE chevron)
    • Face care. (lotion, wash, tweezers, masks, etc.)
    • First aid. (neosporin, tape, alcohol wipes, and band-aids....LOTS of band-aids in every shape and size!)
I need to find some decor item to put ontop of the cabinet....but right now its pretty bare.
Lower Cabinet Goodies. (Forgot to take a before shot)

  • Wes' side

    • Towels
    • Washcloths
    • Boys Washcloths
    • Hand towels

  • My side

    • Stock pile -EXTRAS
      • Body (soap, body wash, shaving cream, etc)
      • Personal (deodorant, toothbrush/paste, hand soap, etc)
    • "Sun" bin (yes I have a bin dedicated to sunscreens, tanning lotion, and oil....what don't you?!)
    • First aid's big bottles that couldn't fit in the upper cabinet (peroxide and alcohol).
    • Now the bin I need still is for "Travel". Right now it's in a plastic bag in the back.
Next to my sink is our lovely laundry divider basket. 3 bins. One bin is for clothes that cant be dried and the other two are a free for all. I should divide colors and whites, but I separate when I wash or the color bin would always be over flowing---tried and major fail. (Picture taken on Saturday...my wash day is Sunday so please excuse the pile)
The shelves above it are for the small items we use daily. Deodorants, hair brush, my contacts, cologne, perfume, and of course our Dreft. haha! I used to keep it on the washer...but doesn't it make more sense to keep it with the dirty clothes so as I take them off, spritz, and then I know for sure the stain will be gone on the 1st wash since I'm allowing more time for it to sit on the stain. I have a bottle next to the boys hampers too.

The picture above is our 1st anniversary gift (paper). Love waking up to that every morning, shows how far we have come.

Look how clear our countertop is....Makes me happy!

    Brody 2 Months

    Weight: 16 pounds
    Height: 24 inches
    Size 2 diapers
    6mo clothes
     Likes:
    • Being tickled
    • Having a bath
    • Being able to look around
    • When his crazy brother talks/screams at him (Brody smiles then has a face saying "Why is he so loud" haha)
    • Having my diaper changed (he giggles and flirts with you...SOOO different than Aiden who fought you!)

    Dislikes:
There is not a lot that he fuses about yet...
    • Being startled when sleeping (Throws both hands in the air and has a panicked look)
    • Shots!! (Only time he truly cried, but he was a strong boy. One cry and then nothing.)
Every day I fall more in love with him if that is even possible. He is SUCH an easy baby! So that gives me a little bit more time with his wild brother. I remember Aiden waking up all the time, but Brody only wakes up at 1ish and then around 5, but I'm getting up then to start my day...so I'm LOVING only being woken up once! Makes me so much less of a grouch! lol

Brody is such a happy baby! Always smiling and almost laughing. He constantly stares at his brother and I can see the love.

He started daycare last week and his teachers are already in love with him. Did I mention he is a flirt?! It is hard saying goodbye but at least he gets attention. There are only 4 other infants in his room and 2 teachers. Plus during lunch I visit because he's only a mile down the road. The other nice part is they constantly take pictures for the room, and give me copies! YAH! I love me some pictures of my babies!

    Irish

So my first day back in the office was yesterday and let me tell you it was one of the most frustrating days of my life. Not only did I have a panic attack, I cried in my car, and pulled out my Irish card. It takes a lot to send me over the edge, especially at work but it happened. (You think it would happen more since my field is basically IT support)

So I'll give you the short version. Well last pay check I was docked a week and this month they were going to dock me 3!! I get paid once a month so kinda a big deal.

So hence the panic attack. It was like who the hell am I suppose to listen to if its all so different. They basically were talking to me like I was crazy when I was only repeating what I was told.

So after a good cry and a convo with the hubby I put my big girl panties on and unleashed the Irish in me. Bad move on their part. Other factor as i was proving my case I discovered I was suppose to get an extra week of vacation last yr but no one told me or my mgr. I seriously LOVE doing other people's job (joking of course)!!!

They were seriously trying to tell me they never given anyone any pay after 6 weeks....uhhh look at my damn checks from 2010 pretty darn sure you did last leave when I took 8 weeks! And my doc cleared me for 10 off so you are required to pay me according to this f'in paperwork mound you gave me. I mean why would anyone on gods green earth take a whole month off with no pay!!! I would NEVER agree to that! But all is well its fixed. I won! The stress level is down. But I seriously don't know what happened btw this time and Aiden. Never had any issues.

Oh and did I mention I had been battling Cigna to reimburse me for Aiden daycare for Dec. Since we get paid at the end of the month it didn't get into their accts until Jan 5th so they were rejecting my claims. So after telling them how to do their damn job too I got that too fixed. I don't care when it gets to you...it came from my 2012 check so all claims submitted for that yr should be applied. (Is it really that hard?!? I even manually mailed it off since I saw it was in 2013 bucket. At least freakin call me if you have questions.)

And last pain. My 2012 evaluation was wiped from the system.....so if that causes issues with my raise I swear they really don't want to mess with me then......

So you can see why my stress level has been through the roof on top of caring for a baby and a boy with the flu. But practically everything is fixed so I enjoyed a nice hot relaxing bath last night even if it was for only 10min. Haha

    Busy Sunday

Well we were busy bees today. Wes was doing yard work while I was cleaning inside. Aiden helped me in the garage all yesterday and as a result had a fever all day so he's been on lock down. Ugh! hope it goes away after tomorrow! Tomorrows a holiday so i dont have to return to work till Tuesday! Yah! But can I say I loathe cleaning baseboards!!

After all that cleaning I made new labels for our toy storage. New toys equals new labels. Then me and Aiden colored some signs for his birthday party. And we made jello and baked cookies. Just wanted to be near his mommy....can you blame him?!?

I even worked on a Pinterest project. Santa's key! Since we don't have a fireplace Santa needs help getting in. So you hang the key on your tree and on Christmas Eve you hang it on your door knob. I found a key from Michaels dollar bins (thanks to Erica for texting me a picture!), printed off a tag wrapped in packing tape and looped a string. Finished! Easy and cheap and so cute!!
