Baby #2 Nursery

Nursery 2 is already in the works. We are working on clearing out the office and making room. My desk is going in the kitchen and Wes' desk is in our room. Filing cabinet is going bye bye so we can get a smaller one. All Wes' baseball cards are going in under the bed storage for our room.

Now why I'm not reusing Aiden's bedding. As much as I LOVED it I hated it at the same time. I loathed the bumpers. A pain in the ass. Every time I changed the sheets I was fighting with the bed because his bed was so low that they would mess up everytime and it was hard to put the mattress back in. HATED! haha Once I saw the sheets a true vision was born. Bumper-free sheets.
MOOD BOARD:

I got 2 of the Skip Hop Treetop Friends bumperless crib sheets from Target at super discount def not full price!

I found this AWESOME dresser at Sheffields! We are putting the changing pad ontop, so size was important. We also needed lots of storage because this is the only real piece of furniture that is going in the room.
I've already recruited some help to help me with the wall mural hehe thanks to my crafty friend Erica. I was going to buy one. but OMG. just a simple tree like $99. No thank you! I saw my inspiration while looking up ideas and fell in love because it goes with the sheet and seems pretty simple. Should be pretty cheap since the accent colors will be acrylic, the tree trunk will be Valspar sample paint. One branch will have a brown shelf hidden in it so the monitor camera can sit above the crib. Another branch I want to hang the name from. I think it would be cute in the heart put Aiden and the baby's name, sibling love. Can't wait to do this!
I'm going to make the blanket because I don't like the ones that go with the sheets. I have picked out the main fabric, owls. love! This is my cheapest project because I only had to spend $8 on two fabrics, everything else I already have. The backside will be red minky dot. Now to decide on a pattern...I'm thinking chevron, after I saw these...but it's still in the works.

For art. Most everything is DIYed. Wes already had a large frame, so I recycled it to do a Pinterest project of mine. Instead of buying the large alphabet cards I found them online and printed them. So I had to buy were the small brads. Hello $4 project! Love how it turned out. This is going above the green dresser.
Next. I have been eyeing some fun frames at Target and sure enough they were on clearance the other day. $2.25 each. Score! The colors go great for the room and I knew exactly what to put in them. I've seen these prints in blogs I've read and thought they were SO funny and the truth that I had to use them. Again with the handy dandy printer and total cost under $6.50
I love these prints and will probably put them on the wall as you walk into the room, just haven't decided 100% yet.
I might get this adorable Forest Friends lamp by Carters if it's a boy. Precious!
We are reusing Aiden's nursery teal rug. Like the sound of free. Still debating if I want to move our club chair in the room, since I used that 99% of the time with Aiden over our rocker chair... but here is the layout we have so far.
That's it for now. Will post with the progress.
