Citrus Lane

I'm working on a huge post to catch up at the moment, but I wanted to share a little since I haven't finished.

I signed up the boys for a trial at Citrus Lane. It delivers a box each month to your child filled with goodies geared to their age range up to 5. I've heard people doing Bluum, but I got a special price of $12/mo for 6 months, normally its $21 a month which really isn't bad. Well we got our first box!! SOO IMPRESSED!

The only annoying thing was I had to set up an account for both boys using both my emails. They don't have the option yet to set up multiple kids on one account. It comes with a neat little card that breaks down the box and gives you extra discounts at each of the companies website for 20-30% off your next purchase. Sweet! So if you like it you can order more at a discount.

Lets start with Brody's box. 4 month.

Wee Gallery Art Cards- $12.95
Cloud B Peekaboo Lovie- $12.95
iPlay organic socks- $5.50
Daisy's Natural 2-in-1 Shampoo & Bodywash- $6.99
Pur-moist (Travel)-$18
$20 from JustFab
As you can see he is already a fan of the lovie and chewing it like crazy. Aiden likes the cards too and correctly identified them all.
Now lets move to Aiden's box. 37 month.

Cloud B Slumber Friends Plush Pillow- $21.95
Mudpuppy On the Road Pouch Puzzle- $9.99
Wee Gallery Jungle Tattoos- $5.00
Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Apple Pouch- $1.50
$20 from JustFab
He informed me the sheep was stinky. Haha Well I like the lavender scent, so I guess it's mommy's now! The apple sauce is already gone. The puzzle is currently being used on it's 10th time. And we are waiting till the weekend to do the tattoos with Carlos.

Overall Aiden LOVED getting a present random. Brody well had no idea! lol But I think I will continue it after my 6 months if they continue being awesome...and will only make their appearances after a good day. What a good reward! Cause mommy is just that awesome. hahahaha

Fearless

Brody's favorite place when we get home is his high chair. He can watch mommy cook and watch his brother run around like a wild man.
Little guy is drooling SO bad now! Teeth coming in?!
He's making the cutest facial expressions now too. I'd like to call this his mean, future tackler face. lol Better watch out!
The other night before bedtime Aiden wanted me to snap some pictures of him to send to Daddy. "HEY DADDY!" Cheeseballing it up!
About every week I get sweet pictures of Brody from daycare. He adores his teachers so much! Makes me happy to leave him everyday! My little flirt!
Aiden is so my son. I see SO much of me in him, well personality wise. He is a carbon copy of Daddy looks wise I think. Well the other day we had to venture to the mall to get rain boots. After checking Walmart, Target, and Carters the only places that had them in stock was Disney and Gymboree (popular huh!?). Since Aiden refuses to wear any other shoe, it was a must trip. His other ones were falling apart. (I asked him to smile and that's what I got. Nice! Sporting his new shoes)
As I mentioned before I despise shoe shopping with this kid, because he hates trying them on. But since he was PERFECT and listened and obeyed all while being in the Disney store (a big feat since normally he's running around like a wild man-like being in a candy store) I treated him to a jump. He's always asked but I always refused, but a 1st time for everything.

I was afraid he would chicken out or get scared....not this boy! Fearless!! He wanted to do flips like the big kids around him. CRAZY! I was so proud of him for just trying it and not being afraid. No convincing at all. He was READY!
He's getting so big and growing up so fast! Such a hilarious kid and makes my days better!! Blessed. When we got home Aiden was excited to see his little brother....and as you can tell Brody wore himself out waiting. Living a hard life! ;-)

Santa's Workshop

Santa's workshop has already begun.

I won't share on every little detail just yet, but hands down best gift. Since only Santa is coming to our house this year I wanted to make it special (We decided the kids won't start getting presents from us until they stop believing in the big guy. Maybe that will help decrease the present overload that we experienced last year. 2 kids = madness!)

The game plan. A kitchen and table.
Who says kitchens aren't for boys?! Maybe Aiden/Brody are a future Bobby Flay?! I just want to expand their creativity everywhere. Aiden looooves to help me in the kitchen and plays with them at school, so why can't he have one for himself? I don't view it as a girly thing...because lets face it the world is different and men DO cook now!

I really can't stand plastic toys so I began hunting for a "manly" kitchen. Manufacturers should really target this clientele. But I found one. IKEA to the rescue! Duktig Mini Kitchen Luckily me it was on sale for $99! How cool is that stove! Lights up! But of course you know me...it's a little blah. Great if you love the minimalist look. But I could see it had so much more potential. Now take a gander at my wonderful Paint skills (too lazy to do it in Photoshop, but you still get the idea).

Now...where to store all the food. Can you believe refrigerators are like the same price as the kitchens. Sorry but that's just too much for a box! Luckily I found a replacement idea thanks to this link!! I can do $15 Ikea Apa box.
I'll go in more detail about the food when I finish...lots of little projects within the year.

Now seating. $19 Ikea Latt table. Pretty boring huh? Recycling leftover paint and a little wrapping paper will make this flow nicely.
Thanks for visiting Santa's workshop....and thanks to Ikea for shipping everything in pieces because now I can paint without Aiden having a clue to what I'm making!! Sneaky Sneaky!

Together

I'm still amazed how "easy" Brody is. He is SUCH a talker!! It is the cutest thing ever!!! He used to babble just during diaper changes but now it's all the time. And man does he smile! Getting such a personality on him.
He adores his big brother and his big brother adores him! These 2 will just talk to each other, smile, and laugh makes your heart melt. Aiden helps out so much and actually wants to! He gets mad if you don't let him.....you want to carry that ___, heck go for it!

Any time we go on an "adventure" (what I say when we leave the house) it takes a moment to pack up the car and I always tell Aiden "I'll come back and get Brody", so now Aiden tells me "Your hands are full. You'll come back and get Brody. I'll stay with Brody." Beyond adorable!
-----------------------------------------------------------
So you might wonder why on earth I take so many pictures of them sleeping?! I probably have like 100 on my phone. lol Well it's for Daddy! Every night he's working before I go to bed I text him how my night went and send him pictures of the boys. Since we are gone before he gets home it makes his days better. Also on those nights our bed gets invaded by the boys....I probably shouldn't let them, but Aiden knows when Daddy's home it's back to his bed. How can you turn down this "But I wanna keep Daddy's side warm...." Oh come on you cutie!

-----------------------------------------------------------
This weekend was Wes/Aiden's date and they planned on going to the zoo, but it was FREEZING! Even had a light dusting, so instead they went to Wally World to get a toy car and pick up a few items and then off to his favorite place, Chick-fil-a. So I told Wes Aiden needed another pack of undies...since he's having practically no accidents I'm not washing his clothes as frequently and I am always running low on clean undies.

Do you know what he picked out? Boxer briefs! When did Aiden get big enough for those!!?? Sniff....he couldn't wait to model them and he showed them off at Gabby's that evening. Proud huh?!
While the big guys were off I got to soak in QT with the little guy! Oh how I just love laying around with him. We had the best conversations!

Later that night me and Wes finally got to have a date night! Our past attempts we always had a sick kid, so we went all out. Headed downtown for the 1st time in forever to a yummy place called BlueFin. Well.....it was very different from what I remember! haha We got down there around 7:30 thinking we'd be seating around 8. Nope! 1 hr wait. So we walked down to Flying Saucer for a quick drink (yes....1st time I'd drank since Dec. 2012!) We go back to BF, get seated, and order. I told Wes I was getting wild and ordered another drink and completely finished it....still no food. I didn't even have my seaweed salad at that point. About an hour in we notice everyone around us had food, even the ones seated after us. It's quickly approaching 10 and we are STARVING (knowing also we needed to still get Brody from Wes' parents). So the mgr came out and apologized. We finally get our food, quickly scarfed down 1 roll, which was delicious, and packed the rest to go. Luckily they comped some of our bill.
What did we both say when we left.....it will be awhile before we go back downtown. haha! We finally get to Wes' parents it's around 11 now. As soon as Aiden sees me he's hurrying around getting Brody's bottles, paci, etc. and gets his bag (he was suppose to spend the night). Nope he wants to come home with us. I won't lie that I kinda love that he wants to be with Mommy and Daddy instead of the grandparents. Guess we aren't that uncool...yet! lol He's a momma's boy for sure.

Overall a great weekend with all my guys! Next weekend I hope the weather is nice so me and the boys can venture out to the zoo to check out the new exhibit, Stingray Bay! Aiden will love being able to touch and feed them! Love how our zoo constantly evolves and grows....next new exhibit Zambezi River Hippo Camp, which will be similar to the Polar Bear exhibit which gives you an underwater look. EXCITED! (Best birthday present ever! Gets us out of the house, moving around, and always fun....and the BEST naps are afterwards. lol)
