My no pants Ironman!

Separation

Aiden is having some serious separation issues. Ever since Brody was born Aiden never wants to sleepover at Gabby and Grande's. (He stayed over there for a week, which before the max he did was a night maybe 2.)

If we go over there and I walk out of the room he's in full panic mode searching for me. And if he sees me gathering things he immediately gathers his shoes. Like no way you're leaving me. And if you ask him if he wants to spend the night "I wanna go home with Mommy and Daddy. To Mommy and Daddy's house." I literally have to sneak out without saying goodbye.....which I HATE!!

I kinda love that he enjoys being around me, but at the same time he needs that bond broken sometimes so he learns to be independent. So in the meantime we are working on doing things alone at home and only showing mommy his accomplishments. Don't always need Mommy. Plus gives me a little breather so he's not constantly attached to my hip.

I just hope he gets over this because I know his grandparents miss him spending the night. And Mommy and Daddy especially miss our kid free nights! lol Brody is quickly approaching the spending the night age so Aiden needs to change pronto. 

Easter

Post 2 of the day. So we start this post with a flashback. Easter 2012. I look at pictures of Aiden....where did my little boy go! In one year! No more jon jons for him and it makes me sad! At least Brody can still wear them.

No whole family pictures since it was hard enough getting the ones we did. After some serious lack of sleep pictures was the last thing on my mind. Why no sleep? Oh we just have a little vampire in our house! Tooth #3. Brody's left vampire tooth broke through, and MAN he let us know! Woke up Friday and Saturday night 3 times with inconsolable crying for about an hour each time. Then Aiden woke up around 5am with a coughing spell on Saturday, so we were quite exhausted by Sunday.

Needless to say we missed church, half of the chores got finished, and we stayed in pjs all day till it was time to head over to Wes' parents. Thank goodness Wes was off this weekend or I would have been on a short fuse today. lol

Let's start with Saturday. We headed up to Build-a-Bear so the boys could create their Easter gift from Gabby and Grande. Aiden of course picked a puppy again (named "Puppy" haha) and wanted the same spider-man outfit as last time. When I explained "he already had that outfit and did he want another" nearly started WW3. But after a talk we settled with the spiderman pjs, because the puppy was sleepy. lol (Sorry no pic). Brody got a cuddly bunny and he "told" me he wanted him to look like a badass, so we settled on a Harley Davidson outfit.

After that we went to the free play area inside the mall. Sure enough our Brut fell and got a MASSIVE bruise on his cheek!!!

Before we headed over to Gabby's to decorate eggs we stop by Dollar Tree to pick up some eggs for the big hunt Sunday...and what does he do......as the sliding door opens he runs RIGHT into the edge of the door!! Leaving 2 more bruises on him. I swear people are going to think I beat him! SOOO CLUMSY!

But he's a tough guy and only cried for a few seconds each time. He was just excited to color his eggs. Which he did GREAT with no mess!

Despite everything the Easter Bunny came to our house! He didn't even bring any junk food! ;-) Daddy was quite upset. lol No raiding the kids baskets this year

Aiden:

• Motts Medley fruit snack (Personally think these are the best ones out there!)
• eeBoo Animal Sounds (HomeGoods)
• Dumbo plush elephant (Walmart)

Brody:

• Jellycat plush elephant (Knowledge Tree clearance)
• Plan Toys stacking tree (Amazon)
• Disney Sully lovey (Target clearance)

I purposely didn't get any candy because I knew Aiden would get some during his egg hunt at Gabby and Grande's. Aiden enjoyed opening both baskets and showing Brody how he tree works. We spent all morning working on Aiden's puzzle over and over!

Once we regrouped from a nap we headed over to Wes' parents for a YUMMY dinner and of course the HUNT (which took like 10 minutes. Professional egg hunters in our group!) The rains parted for half the day so the kids got to enjoy a little time outside.

I just love our time together. Nothing is better!

After we got our grub on the kids do what they do best. Wrestle! Of course once we picked Brody off the floor even though he desperately wants to join in. ;-)

Truly a perfect weekend! Can't wait till Wes is no longer working weekends (starts April 15th) so we can have more great weekends like this!!!

Brody 4 months

We finally went to the doctor on Friday so I can share this post! He was sick at his 4th month mark, so we had to wait 2 weeks. (Note this pictures were taken on the day we noticed his new teeth, so I'm including some to show he's not perfect 100% of the time. lol)

Stats :
Weight: 19 pounds
Height: 26.5 inches
Size 3 diapers
A few 9mo, but starting to move to 12mo clothes

Likes :

• People watcher, evident from his little bald spot on his head
• "Flying" and being tossed in the air
• Sleeping on his belly

Dislikes :

• Being flat to where he can't see anything
• Teething! Drool bucket
• When his brother swishes him when trying to give a kiss at morning drop offs

Milestones :

• Sitting in his bumbo seat!! (which Aiden could never fit in)
• Laughing (which is the CUTEST thing ever!!! must record!)
• Getting to start baby food! (individual post later)

Feeding :
5-6oz bottles. 5am, 8am, 12/1pm, 4pm, 9pm.

He adores Aiden and it is ADORABLE to see them interact. Every morning on the way to their schools Aiden will talk to Brody and Brody will squeal and screech. Aiden saying "Mommy, Brody's to far!" as he's trying to reach for his hand. And every morning we can't leave until Aiden gives Brody a goodbye kiss. Melts your heart each day!

My little caboose is such a joy to be around! He's such a happy baby and despite the lack of sleep this weekend (new tooth) he is good / not fussy normally. He completes our family just perfectly and he's just growing up WAY to fast!!
