Early Mornings

So Aiden has been getting on these kicks for the past couple days of waking up at 5:40ish.....but baby! My alarm isn't set until 6am.....that's precious 20 minutes! Which I get up change him, make him a bottle, and put him on his blanket because what time is it?! PLAY TIME!...but baby! Mommy's tired and when 6am rolls around that snooze button is hit until about 6:20. UGH! If you weren't so darn cute mommy would really be upset. All it takes is one look, a big smile, a cute noise, and I melt.

Yesterday, mommy and daddy headed out for a night on the town. Redbirds game! Man, was the weather great! Some of our friends joined us, and it was a fun evening! We had to leave around the 6th inning because it was already 9pm and we missed our little man. However, when we got to Gabby and Grande's he was sprawled out with the paci in the mouth in their bed. He apparently even had snuggle time with Grande. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up on your belly and make you start sweating! Such a hot potato!

More cute Aiden stories...so on Sunday I was trying out a new product on our wood floors. So I sent Wes and Aiden to the grandparents, since I didn't know how bad the smell was going to be. Old product = Murphy's oil = SMELLY!!! It works, but you definitely need to vent your house afterwards. New product = Pledge = Refreshing smell!! It won me over. The smell didn't knock me down. The floors look great. However, I did practically use the whole bottle in one day, but practically every room in the house has wood floors, so...not so bad. The thing I liked about it was you don't have to dilute it like Murphy's oil. Just squirt on and mop. EASY! Plus I think it would be safe enough to use with Aiden in the house.

So while I'm doing this Aiden is having a blast with Lily (Wes's brother's 2.5 year old daughter). Kissing on her, playing with her, etc. I swear he LOOOOVES her and she loves him! So freakin cute to see them play together. It's good to see him interacting with little people.

BTW Milestone: Aiden can now sit up without support 90% of the time now. His daddy has been working with him. YAH Aiden!!

Thrift Store Finds

This weekend was fun! On Saturday, I ran some errands with Regina and Chris and of course little man.

1st stop Hancock Fabrics. They had their patterns on sale plus I needed to pick up a few inches of Christmas fabric for my Christmas gifts for the coworkers. I'm giving them some jelly that we made a few weeks back. If I waited to get the fabric for the tops I'd be too late come Christmas time. But excellent selection!

Aiden was cute like always. Picture this. Aiden in the stroller, both hands sticking out running his hands through all the fabric as we went down the isle. Then all of the sudden out of no where he'd grab one! lol Oh is that the one you like little man?! He would just smile and let go of it so we could continue.

2nd stop Salvation Army. Find....Buffet and a bunch of books for Aiden. Thrift stores are the best places for books! You can't beat 49 cents! And the buffet, I didn't spot it Regina did and oh how I'm happy she did. It's PERFECT! Perfect size, perfect color! I've desperately needed something to store my China in, and something to put on our huge blank wall in the kitchen. It's got a little love on it, but hey that's what makes it even better! Plus you can't beat $130 for a mahogany buffet! The pictures don't do it justice, taken with cellphone, but I'll update when I get finished cleaning it and finally use the Pier 1 card to decorate the top.

Now that I have a place to store my china...maybe I'll actually use it?! It was Mudder sister's pattern which I fell in love with when I first saw it because of the simplicity (gray, white, and silver)and it has the raised paint! Hopefully I won't every break any pieces, because it's a discontinued pattern. :-(

I leave on a cute note....What do you see in the picture? Yes, that is Aiden passed out hugging his bottle! lol Not a toy but a bottle...I guess we know what he loves the most :-)

Friends

My dear friend Matias is in town for the next 10 days all the way from Barcelona, Spain! We met when we both co-oped at IP back in 2007 and just clicked. Funny thing was we both ended up getting full-time positions, so it was like our bond never ended. It was a sad day when he left IP...my lunch buddy went away. :-(

So needless to say I was sooo sooo happy to see him! He even got to meet the little man too! The whole dinner Aiden was amazing like normal checking out all the sights and kept staring Matias down so it was funny. I had Aiden in my lap and whatever we grabbed from the table Aiden wanted. The menu. The napkin. The plate. The beer. haha I think it was the cup mainly, but since it was Flaming Stone we will say it was the beer :-) Man is he getting fast and that eye coordination is really picking up.

Then Matias realized Aiden was a chick magnet because all these group of ladies came up googling over him. So that brought the statement "Can I borrow your baby?" hahahaha OH MATIAS!

It was a nice dinner made me realize how much I miss that kid! Hard to find bffs like that these days.
