Last week was my Pampered Chef party and man was it fun! Love those ladies so much! Thanks to everyone who came and supported. Ended up with a $600+ party! YAH!

I was able to get the items I wanted plus more for only 28% of retail value. Basically stole them! Needless to say we are set, and now I am due to have a grilling party. :-) Maybe for the Bama/Tenn game?!

I can't wait to test out our new grill!!! Can you tell I'm excited? Hopefully I won't burn everything... Thanks Regina and Steve for the awesome Bdays/Anniv gift. :-) Now we just need to get the patio done so it can be moved out of the garage....eventually...First we need to get a cover for it even if it's in the garage.

Can't wait for Saturday. Craft day with Erica for a couple hours before family dinner. My crafts are to make a football wreath and work on a picture for Aiden's big boy room. Lots of painting. Below are my inspirations for my football.

For Aiden I bought a HUGE world map at Target's clearance. At first I was going to frame it, but hello expensive. Second, I was going to get wooden letters to say "Oh, the places you'll go" but hello expensive again. So I got letter stencils that I'm going to paint on that phrase and no frame just simple 3M poster hanging stuff. This will hang right over his bed. Educational and gives him excitement of travel. Both things mommy approves of.

Underneath I want to put a rain gutter bookshelf. Yes you read correctly I want to hang rain gutters inside. This will promote him to read at night having them so close. I will be the 1st one to admit I'm not a reader. Probably because it takes me a year to read one page. After a few sentences I get bored or look away and lose my spot and have to re-read then I get even more bored because I'm reading the same thing over causing me to get sleepy so I stop. Never ending cycle. lol I don't think I ever have read completely an entire book, learned the art of skimming way early. My brain is so business geared if you can't fit it on 2-3 pages/slides I'm not going to read it. So sad. But I want Aiden to enjoy books, so I'm going to do my best to encourage it. Below are my inspirations...they look AMAZING.

It's official I am a DIYer or it maybe I'm just too cheap to buy something I know I can do myself for half the price. I vote #2. haha

Health

This post is kind of random but I will take a moment to discuss some health issues Aiden has been having lately.

Remember a few months ago when Aiden's eye was swollen shut due to mosquito bites. Well apparently this kid's blood is sugar because no matter how much spray I put on him he ends up with bites. And I can't say no to him especially when he sees the other kids outside. So needless to say there have been lots of oatmeal baths around this house.

1st time he ended up with 6 BAD bites on his legs that formed blisters and 1 on the face. So all week to keep him from scratching his blisters I had to bandage him up. Poor baby! 2nd time I put pants on him and sprayed his arms and face the best I could without choking the boy. He still ended up with 1 on his face. UGH! I am thinking of getting one of those clip-on bug repellents for him....I just wonder if Aiden will keep it on though.

All week I have been worried about his breathing because I couldn't see any improvement after his treatments. His sleeping was HORRIBLE last week. 12-3am wake ups for mommy. I was a zombie. I had a suspected it was allergies because yes I'm on week 2 of a clartin, mucinex, and sudafed cocktail with no improvement. So I take him to the doctor friday telling her my issues and how I think he's got an ear infection too. Sure enough he was developing ear infections in both ears. My awesome Doctor Mommy senses were right! :-) 2nd due to his height and weight his breathing treatment meds were incorrect. Needed to be double what he was taking.....explains that. After one treatment in the office and MUCH improvement! So over the next week we will be doing multiple treatments daily to get him back on track. Side note: I don't know if any of y'all have CIGNA, but they are the BEST insurance. 6 big boxes of albuterol and his antibotics only cost me $8. AMAZING!

On Sunday he was feeling much better, so what does mommy do?! Force him to get a haircut. hahaha I'm evil yes I know. However, he did GREAT! Better than the 1st time. Looked down for the lady and held his head straight. She even got to use the clippers around the edges too. Guess all that watching Daddy at home taught him not to be scared of them. And dont think he always gets suckers lol 1st one was during the carwash and the other was after the hair appointment.

Other things I accomplished. Purchased his bedskirt, pillows, bed rail, and mattress protector. Because the big day is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!! So nervous. Painting will have to wait but I at least did figure out the color I want. Eddie Bauer Larkspur.

Last night was eventful. We headed up to Munford for Carlos' birthday, which Aiden LOOVED because all night he got to play with a puppy. I swear this kid is a dog maniac. So cute! He would pet him and give him hugs. Beyond precious! While we were off having fun Wes was at home during the HUGE hail storm. It looked like it was snowing. Luckily it didn't go through Munford, but we had to stay up there WAY past Aiden's bedtime so on the drive home he was OUT!

The one good thing from last night is I think Aiden has officially started to like stuffed animals. AHH! The animal loving me loves that! All morning he was carrying around his puppy animal and trying to feed it.

Future Project

So I found my next projects.

The one I LOOOOVE! Every mother needs this way to keep everything organized based on child. I found it on blog I read.

CHILDREN'S HOMEWORK/MESSAGE CENTER

Take a 16x20 frame. Customize the print behind. Then hot glue a clip on the front, and you have a dry erase board. I just love the spot for the bookbag. LOVE! Simple. Cheap. Perfect.

My second craft project is just hilarious! Mounted Stuffed Animal Head. haha. Just need to scope Goodwill for a cheap "victim" hahaha get some matching ribbon and a plaque. How could you not get any cuter than this. Makes me giggle so I know it will make Aiden giggle.

Blue Angels

Nothing is better than to spend a Sunday with my little man while daddy enjoy his "me time".

So we spent the A.M. eating waffles with syrup, which resulted in an immediate bath and brushing teeth. Then hurried about town picking up a few items before the main event. Blue Angels were in town!

All week they have been practicing flying over the house, so we got a sneak peek preview. But this time we headed out to the airport and stood out in the field along with several other people to enjoy the show. Silly me didn't bring my camera nor did I take pictures with my phone. BAD mommy! But I wasn't sure we were going to watch it since it was sprinkling in the A.M.

But this adorable boy would get real quite and still then when he would hear the noise he would look and point straight up and go "Ah Ah!" then I would correct him and say "Plane" and he would then reply "Pla Pla Pla". Then accompanied by his happy dance. Looks like we have a Plane loving boy here. Guess that's one perk of living near a Naval Base. Free entertainment.

One other thing Aiden loves is Grande's 4-wheeler. That is the only time he doesn't want me. Such a boy! He sequels for joy whenever Grande takes him around on it, and then is trying to climb back on when they get off. Too bad we we went out for probably 3 minutes without bug spray resulting in like 7 bad bug bites! UGH! My poor baby! So allergic to them just like me.

Since the bedroom conversion is looming I need to figure out Aiden's picture collage wall. Instead of drilling 200 holes in the wall I decided to be smart and trace everything out on white paper then tape them up on the wall. I still need to add two small frames but other than that I think I have the layout complete.
