Toddler

It's official. We have a toddler. No more "X" month clothes anymore. I had to do some spring cleaning of his closet yesterday and man does he have alot of Green and White now. lol.

Speaking of clothes the cold weather has returned. YAH! So guess I need to do some switching around and pull out his fall/winter clothes. This weekend I did hit up my fav consignment store to get him some new jackets and pants for this growing boy. Let me just say I love them, they will call me when they get something in stock they know I have been looking for. Like Dr. Seuss books. They got "Happy Birthday to You" and "Horton Hears a Who" in and called me instantly (They remembered me talking about the bday party I want to have). These were the large books that run for $15, which I got them for $3! I even scored him some new Cherokee jeans/brown pants $2.50 and two NICE jackets (one dressy and one casual) for $6 each. Nice thing is I didn't spend a cent of our paychecks thanks to my new business. Yah for that! :-) He loves the dressy one.

As you can see from this morning I didn't realize it was that chilly till after I got him dressed, so a jacket was going to have to do. But boy does he love being a "big boy" with his backpack and lunchbox. Love him!

Saturday was Wes' bday so after the Bama game we packed up and headed over to Gabby and Grande's for a nice meal and my wonderful cake. I wanted to make my infamous strawberry cake but Kroger didn't have Sugar Free white icing only chocolate. Boo! I was going to make the top of it look like a baseball with red icing. Oh well there is always next year. Being in the Bama spirit I even made Aiden a new preschool blanket. So cute!

First it was the clothes outgrown next it was the shoes. So Saturday morning me and Aiden packed up to find new shoes. Thankfully, Payless had alot of Wide shoes in stock or I was going to have to bit the bullet and go to Stride Rite. This little guy wears a 7 now! OMG! They even were having a special buy 1 get 1 half off. So we walked out of there with 2 shoes for $21. Score! One plain gray pair of tennis shoes. One white/navy pair of tennis shoes that lights up when he walks. He loves them! lol

Sunday when he napped I did a little project I've been wanting to do for awhile. Remove all Aiden's artwork from the frig and onto the wall. By just using a little picture wire and nails we have instant wall art surrounding the sliding glass door. Underneath the one corner we are putting a little kids table, but I'm not done with that yet.

Monday I would have gave anything for little man to nap....He probably only napped 20 minutes, and you could tell. He was cranky, emotional, and clumsy. So I pulled out his nap mat thinking that would help...that at least got him to sit down but nap not so much. We put him down at 6 and without a peep. Mommy and Daddy were so exhausted we went down shortly after too.

Hope everyone else had as great of a Labor Day weekend as we did!
